Ok I'm sure this will open up a can of worms. I'm gonna buy one or the other depending on the input here. I intend on using it for hunting and just shootin. no competition. don't get me wrong I like shootin tight groups (sub moa).

Well, to start, the Creedmore is a short action cartridge. I don't know whether you want to build an AR-10 type rifle or not, but the Creedmore will obviously outperform the Grendel in every way. The advantage of the Grendel is excellent long range ability out of an AR-15 platform.

The first question that needs to be answered is which platform you want to use for your rifle.

maybe I should answer like this. I have a RRA Varmit A4 now. I would like to have a 6.5 also. I could save money by just buying a complete 6.5 Grendel upper and just installing on my lower. But is the Creedmoor that much better to justify me spending the money for a whole new gun? The AR10 frame doesn't bother me...maybe that will help.

What are you using the gun for?

That's probably the first question you should answer else I'll give you the ARF.COM typical answer...

Buy both!

Slap a grendle upper on it and your GTG for any big game you would take with a 6.5 X 55 Swede.

I wanna hear about your Grendel experience.  I have my .458 SOCOM: It ROCKS!  Kicks like a mule, but I have the std A2 buttstock (cheesegrater buttplate).  Grendel is on my "to-buy" list after this deployment.

Note to "artsohc": I'll probably buy both I just haven't decided what platform I'm going to put the bigger 6.5 in.

.260 Remington.

Almost identical ballastics as the 6.5 creedmoor without all the custom brass expense.

Im on the lookout for a .308 Armalite lower to make this my next project.

What are you using for .260 brass?  Most of the factory stuff (Rem at least) is marginal for reloads, according to everything I've read.

Figure out if you want to use the AR10 platform or the AR15.
