Can anyone tell me a link to a list of stamp codes on upper recievers and what they mean.  I don't know howmany there are but I know I have two different ones and I was just curious to what the meaning is.
thanks

There's one that looks like a stylized head of a cardinal (the bird). It's for cardinal forge company. That's the only one I know.

The old www.biggerhammer.net web-site has a good run-down on most of the older more established uppers - check the AR15 section "uppers"......

It means Harvey Aluminum made the raw forging specifically for Colt. Colt then machined & finished the raw forging into the end product. Very few manufacturers actually machine & finish the raw forgings that they purchase from the various foundries listed.
