Please point me in the right direction to a link to where I can find out the legal ways to permanently attach a flash suppressor to make a 14.5 barrel legal with no paperwork. I looked on atf site and can't seem to find anything. Is silver soldering or welding the only way. Read somewhere as long as it won't come off with hand tools your ok. Does that sound right. Thanks for the help

Ask Adco to do it. That's the best option.

No it's not right.

There is a letter from the BATF floating around which describes the accepted procedures - there should be a link to in in the Legal Forum.

Let's see If I can remember them all
4 equidistant spot welds
1100 degree silver solder
Weld bead 1/2 the circumferance of the muzzle device.
Blind pin with a weld over the end (the most popular option).

Glue/Epoxy (to include JB weld) are not acceptable.
