This is what inspired me to go with a standard M4 with an ACOG topping it instead of the "cool guy" recce or block II builds.  The M4 just works.

Is this the Ops Inc 12th model can on here? I have the AEM5 in NFA jail and I was thinking of getting the M4 collar to be able to use it on one of my carbines with the Vortex/Ops inc flash hider. If this is what it would look like I think I will do it!

Are you running a brake or flash hider?

This is how the issued M4 should have been designed.

I run the 15th on the M4 & 15/22 (brake on both), the 12th is a little longer.

Top to bottom of - 15th, .22 12th, .30th 12th

Thanks, I really like the way that looks. I have been going back and fourth all day about putting together something new that I could use with an AEM5 besides just the Mk12's.

Getting closer. Trying to keep this as basic as I can but had to go with skinny hand guards and MOE grip. Picked up the carry handle off the EE and just got the M4 stock from BCM and will be done once I get the Colt side sling mount.

What'd I miss? Does the barrel need to be exposed to show the barrel profile? I'm fairly sure I have the M4 feed ramps and barrel profile.

Honest question.
