New 11.5 build. Sold off my MK18 stuff and replaced it with this 11.5 build. Not sold on the kac micro mount yet but I'm gonna shoot it as much as possible first before I totally dismiss it.
Still waiting on irons and a magpul Mlok tape switch mount.

First thing first, I always loved how the URX II rail looked with a 11.5" barrel
  
Second - I don't know if you guys heard, I didn't see mention here, but Knights is doing a limited run of TDP Milspec Lowers that look awesome!

Knights made 5000 lowers. They opened dealer sales Monday morning. Just checked with them about an hour ago and they only had 20 left.

It is slightly mis aligned between the orientation of drilled holes/gas port and the upper receiver gas port if that makes sense. It SHOULD not effect function, but we'll see. I'm not anal enough on this build to send it back. If it shoots, then it shoots. As far as the rail, first time using new mounting process. Pretty slick. I had to drill one hole in between two Mlok slots for one of the set screws. It uses three. I went with Larues due to it already being predrilled. Was going to try a set screw GB to tune it perfectly for gas, but got a bit lazy and will see how it shoots with and without can. |
