Generally I give the rifles a good scrub with brake cleaner. Then put down a base layer followed by a few layers of pinestraw. |

Thanks! Yeah, Marvin did the dimples on both barrels. The top one is a 12.5" Noveske and the other is an 18" Noveske switchblock upper. Good eye it is a Knights lower, really like yours as well!

Yea just 2 inches but I can't see either in person at least not Noveske and I would really like to see them side by side not just 2 seperate pictures I have been debating what way to go with a 300blk. I'm leaning towards the 10.2. I have a few stamps in the works. Lots of great looking Noveskes in this thread.

If you wanna shoot supers from time to time (more distance ie hog hunting like me) go with 10. In either case with an SDN-6 or a Saker on the end of it, you're talking about a difference of 15" or 17" in length. For the record I went with the DD 10.3. Noveske barrels aren't what they used to be. |

I'm liking the idea of the 10.2 to get a little more hand space and to shoot supers as posted above, but I don't know enough about how much that 2 inches will really affect accuracy with a 300blk. Next step is to find some uppers |

Curious about that comment as its news to me? Yeah, crazy talk, unless there is some recent development with the Noveske 10 inchers. I have that very DD upper, and other DD barrels, along with Noveskes, including a newer 12.5. The recent 10.3 DDs are the most over-gassed barrels I have ever used. I am a DD fan, so don't take it the wrong way, but it is literally the one barrel in their line I might look at other top manufacturers for, and Noveske would be one of them. |

I'm an Oregonian and support local business as much as possible, but it's not news to anyone that since John passed things have been slipping. And if I paid 350-450 for a barrel, and didn't shoot sub Moa with match ammo at 100 yards I'd be pissed. And I've personally seen this happen on 3 occasions recently. Could be 3 coincidental occasions but what do I know.. What I do know, is my 16" Daniel defense barrel has performed to my liking for $100 less, so I got 2 more. Both 10.3" one 556 one 300blk. |

When I factor in the fact that the Noveske barrels include the gas block and gas tube, the cost differential is quite small. |
