Nice sneakers, any NCO would shit a brick over here. But needless to say I'm a little jealous after having spent days in a Bradley in boots. And I'm wondering if that's all just moon dust on his rifle or it's painted?

Does any one know if any A1 receivers with the LM forge stamp made it into service in Israel? They were used for re arsenal here so just curious if it was there also. Thank you for your help.

Is the AG-43 grip kosher? It appears to be the standard issue IDF grip (when a1's wear out)

I don't see why it wouldn't be. The IDF uses them and it's made in Israel.

Can't get more kosher than that.

I have exciting news.

My 12" IDF inspired carbine is coming together.

Have as of today:
12" CHF FN PSA upper
CNC A1 carry handle
BG-16 grip
M4 stock

Waiting on to arrive:
Cavarms skinny C3 handguards
IDF front sling strap
IDF sling
eform1 approval

I'll get some pics up this evening, for now its got to play on another SBR lower that's painted, but it will have its own lower shortly.

ETA: this is Alaska511's fault

ETA 2: Proof of concepts

Has anyone ever tried a grip reduction with the Cav Arms/GWACS lowers?

I wonder if that might compromise the strength of the receiver extension area, or what...

I know most folks are into the big, wide backstraps on their pistol grips, but the standard A2 grip fits my hand pretty well - and I've tried more than a few - I had a MIAD for a while that I ended up removing because all I ended up with was a five piece FDE A2 grip.

I've seen Cav Arms stock reductions as plenty of stippling, but never a grip reduction that I can recall to a more A2-ish sized grip.

I did part of one on a lower.  I ground out about .300" of the area where the web of your hand fits.  Now I can reach the mag release.  Used AcraGlas but I've heard there are better things to use for it.  I also ground out where the trigger guard meets the grip so it doesn't rub your fingers raw.  Works for me.

I just deburr that area on the inside with a sharp knife. Takes about 12 seconds.

Oh I still have the centurion - two of em.

The 10" is on my 11.5 and the 12" on my 14.5.

I did sell the spare 10" I had.

Question - did the IDF ever issue / have in the field Aimpoint M2's and any sort of railed HG. Just wondering for my next upper

im debating on one of those or another yhm QD mount for my can.

Thing is, for a LW build, hanging a 20oz can off the end is counter productive.

Absolutely.  These are dimensionally similar to an A2, and I can weigh it if you want.

I don't think I've posted anything in this thread before, although I'd been admiring all the great carbines for some time now. The first carbine on the first page is still the best IMO, but I think this counts :

I have changed the PG since to a modified, black stippled A2 with the fingerbump removed. Will take a new pic soon.

Thanks. Mostly Colt - LMG upper, SOCOM barrel and basically everything but the NDS lower. I really like it...just not as much as the 605. Maybe once I get the Santos IBZ set with some 62 gr ammo and the trigger changed out I'll feel differently. Sure does handle nice though, and need only one click elevation and two or three clicks windage to sight in. At some point I think I will paint it - just too nice at present way it is.
