Does the MLOK cut down on the weight much compared to the old Pic versions? It’s definitely handier feeling than the green one, However, the barrel is 14.5” and has been ball milled by Marvin pits... The balance is more favorable. B4 adding anything it weighed in at 8.7 which is comparable to some of the newer 7.62 offerings. Granted the MWS is always going to have the indexing collar as a handicap. lbs |

Those LMT guns look chunky, so I figured over 9lbs unloaded. |

I was hoping to be able to pin and weld a surefire flash hider or warcomp on the 13.5 lw barrel, but it looks like I'll be too short without a spacer. I only have the mars-h lower at the moment, trying to figure out the best route for the shortest and lightest barrel without SBRing. |

Hey guys I’ve got an optic question. For those of you running a 2.5-10 on a 16” gun how do you like it? I currently am running a razor 1-6 on my 16” recce and am thinking of taking it off and running it on a 10.3 mini recce. If I do that I’m looking at getting a night force 2.5-10 to run on the 16” gun. Since it wouldn’t have the true 1x and dot I would probably run a t1 offset. Just wondering how you guys like that setup or should I just keep the 1-6 on the 16 and get another one for the mini recce. Thanks for the info guys.

The MLOK is a factory 16” C/L, 1:10, Carbine length gas system, that was KAC Ball Milled, chopped and pinned w/Surefire Socom Brake, to 14.5”, 16” OAL. I think in hindsight, you may get away w/13.8”, and it would look bad ass, either ball milled and/or ball milled or standard factory Lightweight offerings LMT has now. The green rifle, in contrast, is a 18” 5R, SS, 1:12, mid length, chopped to 16”. Ball milled as well. Both barrels were worked by Marvin Pitts of Nefarious Arms, previously employed by Knights Armament. I just did a 13.8”, midl-length, ball milled and pinned, in a 5.56 variant MRP. Form is awesome, yet to test function. |

Rarely used the viper higher than 1x. But my initial impression is the steiner has better glass and a better eye box. Do5 brightness isnt as big of a deal for me ... so I dont have an opinion in that dept.

Sorry for the ipotato picture, but here's how my recce-ish rifle sits now.
Attached File I've got a Swampfox 1-8x scope on the way, and I'm trying to decide on which mount to go with. I have a Larue mount and an Aero Precision one on other rifles. Can't decide between the quick disconnect Larue or the ultra light Aero. Should I ditch my flip up sights and go with the fixed mount? Or spend the extra $130 and go with the Larue mount? |
|

Thinking of swapping the scope to a 1-8 but besides that she is done and recc-ish. Noveske Gen 2 lower, Geiselle trigger, BCM upper, WOA 16 inch barrel, KAC URX 3.1, Larue scope mount, Leupold 3-9, and B5 SOPMOD stock, Warne bipod and form 1 titanium can . I think it needs the rattle can treatment though!
