That is sweet.  I've started to keep an eye out for a 1-4x or 1.5-6x USO at a good price.  How do you like it?

The M4A1 got a Razor 1-6. I was busy this weekend between this and then building the mini recce

Also, can't decide if I wanna add a bipod to this and then I switched out the rail panels to KAC ones

Nice!  Recently I've been using a leg of my iPod as a vertical grip and like that setup.  On the rail covers I say ditch them all together and show off that sweet rail.

How are you liking the razor?

I really like it. This is the 1.5-6 and it's perfect for this setup. Glass is super crisp and clear. The thing is built like a uparmored land cruiser though. Which I guess makes me feel like it's super durable. But only a few unintended drops will be able to actually confirm that.

Some very sexy sticks, gents. I'm wondering. For you, are these range toys and/or showpieces, or have you built them with an eye toward more practical uses? If the latter, why, for example, the beefy quad rails when a good MLOK rail would make them carry easier and swing faster?  Nothing wrong with building working models of older military tech as a hobby.  Just trying to understand what this is about.

I cant speak for the die hard KAC dudes out there, but for me, who is infected with a light dose of the KAC pathogen, it brings nostalgia, proven quality and damn good looks. The FF RAS is just rock solid and robust, I like it for the multi purpose user ability of a recce. With my build, I can stll shoot, move and engage close in or set myself up to reach out alittle further. Its a fun set up to run & gun or chill on a bench.

A good 1-6 on a skinny light rail like the urx would still be my go to for anything like 3 gun though

Stole some parts from the mod1 just to get a visual for the Recce. NF will be here soon to replace the leupy. I don't own any clone correct cans so this will use the specwar-k until I can get my funds together for an AEM5.
All in all. This thing is the bee's knees so far. I love the feel of it. Looks awesome. And I can't wait to put some rounds thru it.
More then likely take the place of the mod1

Teardrop FA is enroute. Need a cqd mount set.
Overall awesome rifle.

And love it. Does a great job on my cqbr.

NF is enroute to me. Be here Monday. Just need NF rings and a fellow enthusiast to make doctor mounts and it'll be cherry

Bushnell elite 5-15
Not pictured en route I have a leopold delta point going in an offset mount

I think my1-4 bit the dust. So, I'm zeroed in at 100 with the aimpoint on my current recce for a competition in July. Still, I was pinging steel silhouettes at 300 with both 55gr fmj reloads and m855.

NF 2.5-10x24. Everything I imagined and more. Cannot wait to get some time behind this thing.

Only thing I wanna change is a new mount and get an AEM5.

I think a M4A1 SOCOM w/Ris hits it on the head. Sporting a K16i it is almost perfect in a RECCE role. I was hitting 4-6" steel at 300 using my ACOG without a problem and these SOCOM barrels are very accurate. Looking for to seeing how it shoots.

I have not decided on a bipod or the mount.

Nice! I'm a big fan of what the 2.5-10x24 offers for it's size and weight.  I'll have a really similar setup soon.  I have a long FF ras to swap for the medium in the picture and the scope is now in a NF Unimount.  The Atlas is now on the rifle in the background, the recce will share a harris 6-9 or 9-13.

Yes I've been a big fan of your rifles, always enjoyed your inputs and opinions on the x24's.
Also I forgot I have a car stock at home, might try that on and see how I like it. Looks good on your rig.
And if you need a new home for the medium ff ras lemme know, I will gladly take it off your hands :D

Help a brother out...  I seemed to misplace a pic.

It was a real deal recce on a table.  Indoors.  It was painted a lighter brown / sand and I think it had kind of vertical camo, thin stripes.  It had a shorter quad rail, like 10"  I believe it had an LT104 with some kind of 1-4 and I'm pretty sure a bipod.  And I'm pretty sure a sopmod buttstock.

I've googled, looked all over my computer and started to look in this thread where I know it was posted, but I can't find it.  Ugh.

Anyone know which one I'm talking about?

And with the acquisition of a single part, another build is in the works. Picked this up today, now I have to buy everything else....haha. Is anyone running the lilja recce barrel? I'm mainly curious how a carbine length gas system is on this platform vs a mid length?

Depends on the intended use of the rifle. If you're shooting at a max range of 200ish yards, the triangle reticle works fine, but the further out you go, the more of a hindrance it becomes. You also have to content with the typical issues that comes with a fiber/tritium powered optic

It is, but people are really looking at 1-6x as the standard now

Testing out setups til it arrive's.

NF ring's don't clear Buis, Makes me want a Unimount. Only other things left to receive are a Teardrop FA, FDE grip, PRI Gasbuster and if hell doesn't freeze over a Wilcox T1/MRDS mount.

It sure is purdy.  Does the NF really let you sit that close to the scope and have good eye relief?   The leupolds I have, no way.

I don't see a point in BUIS in a set up like that.  I doubt it's a necessity either.   ESPECIALLY if you get an RDS.  You really need 3 sighting systems?  You wouldn't be able to access BUIS quickly anyways.....   I say it's good to go as is.  Except for the scope being so far back.  NF must allow you to be pretty close to it.  Sucks to be me to never been able to try one.  LOL.

Yeah honestly no real reason except KAC is life is the only solid argument I have . Eye relief is pretty damn generous on the x32 I will say, Hence Why I put it up a little further. Your missing out brotha.
