I'll take some more pics tomorrow, but the paint is a base coat of Aevero earth yellow then Aevero earth brown on top.  It works nice, but the Highland that they used to sell was my favorite and fit it better with the Oklahoma red dirt.

sorry for the same gun pic
-Aimpoint pro and LMT socom genii. I didn't take any pictures of the gun at the range.

Bottom left: Freedom 55gr a-max
Top left: Fiocchi 62gr
Top right: Perfecta 55gr
Bottom right: Black Hills 223 77gr HP
Center: Norma 556 77gr OTM

There was a 20mph wind at my back. Which is way I didn't go over to the long range bay where the wind was blowing left to right. I pulled the perfecta and Norma groups.

Weird. My double post turned into a single. Either way, yes FFP would have been preferable (if that's what you were referring to the F1). But not a deal breaker for me. I've got Stelok to figure out all the holds at different powers.

This is as close to a recce as I've got, I've been thinking about replacing the ACOG with a 1-6 vortex razor when my budget permits it.  I do like the ACOG quite a bit though, so it'll be a tough choice.

I have always liked ""two tones" (or more) rifles. I guess it's a modularity thing.
The various grey and black tones of my unpainted Mod0 are probably one reason I haven't painted it yet.
But the few things I have painted have always looked great, face it, a cheap rattle can job isn''t the hardest thing in the world..

Recce shooting today.  I gotta get a better rear bag.  Or better yet learn how to shoot without a rear bag real good.    But I know I had some movement at times and pulled a shot once.  But I still had fun.  Plus I'm getting old.  I tried to go prone with just a towel down on the concrete and I was like uugggghhhhh, I'm not doing that.  LOL.  I've gotten soft.

Looks good too!!!!!!

Hey, can you show a pic of your sling set up?  Every time I try and work out a way for a sling on my carbine, I just get irritated.  I like a sling on a battle rifle.  Especially if you use it to actually help steady the rifle when firing.  But I swear I can't find a good way to set up my carbine with a sling.   I've just been using a silent sling and para cord to try and attach in various places though.    I probably need a better sling.

Me, too.  Sling pic, please.  Looking for a better way to attach a sling at the rear without using QD sockets or paraclips or paracord.

Vertical stringing tendency with otherwise tight groups may, indeed, point to a need for a better rear rest or bag.  Maybe a rabbit ear design?  What trigger set up do you have?

Federal American Eagle 55 grain 5-1/4"    Boooooooooooooo

Vertical stringing tendency with otherwise tight groups may, indeed, point to a need for a better rear rest or bag.  Maybe a rabbit ear design?  What trigger set up do you have?

The trigger is pretty good.  RRA NM.  Like 4.5#.  It's the rear bag situation, I think.  I did have a rabbit ear thing, but it doesn't really do much with all the carbine stocks.  It's kind of a small one.  I should actually slap a fixed A1 or A2 on there.  They make it so much easier to keep it still.  But then you lose some portability in the gun.  I had a B5 sopmod stock on there that time, but I just couldn't keep the thing as still as I would've liked.  I know that upper can shoot better than that.  It has in the past.

I agree. 16" feels a little more balanced and versatile. Its my go-to rifle right now.
