Ok. here is what i have for you today...
![]() some of the coolest things at Shot is the small item...forme, I found this to be a excellent piece of kit, it is small, light and the nav lights are powerful, it also feature a IR strobe... it is very handy for anyone every shot in the dark of the night. as for now, being it is IR, it is for mil/LE only. I hope they will come out with a civvy unit without the IR. ![]() dual switch for IR and for three white lights or two blue lights ![]() the light and the helmet mount can be seperate, so you can use the light independently with out the helmount. ![]() ![]() kind of blurry, I had to take the shot with out a flash but it shows the blue lights. ![]() ![]() ![]() Mounted to the side of a MICH helmet. Next I end up at the Steyr Booth to check out the new AUGA3.... ![]() The A3 with Lupy CQT, cheek piece... ![]() The business side of the AUGA3 improved receiver, clearly you can see the front receiver extension is an add on piece that is also removable. ![]() The large lever is the take down latch to remove the front extension for access to the rest of the receiver. notice the new Flash hider. ![]() Daniel Defense brought out their new to public but not new to the military RAS2, this is their entry to the SOPMOD Block 2 RAS competition along with Knights Armament's URX2 and the new ARMS SIR(later in the report) ![]() Notice the Daniel Defense receiver.. a really nice piece of machine work. ![]() Jay Duncan posing with their new pride and joy... ![]() Two thumb nut on the rail release the lower handguard ![]() two extension drop down to receive the M203 while keeping the barrel free float. ![]() |

![]() The business end of the rail, the mounting system....it clamps to the barrel nut...Jay want you to see the new Daniel Defense receiver. A First Samco CAR stock in the background... Couple of shots of the DD RAS2 complete with EOTech 553, the SOPMOD 2 package... ![]() ![]() ![]() The Robarms XCR was present at the show. Alex told me the production should start within weeks... I hope he is right, it is a very nice piece of tool for anyone looking for an alternative to the good ole AR system. MagPul was in full force this year, had one of the busiest booth I can remember.. lots of goodies to show off.. CTR that replace your standard CAR stock. ![]() ![]() This is the actual latch that would release the stock to freely slide on the std mil spec buffer tube. the large latch up front is the locking tab. ![]() Locking latch locking the stock in place. ![]() The rear rubber pad. ![]() cool little magazine... a clear side window with a follower indicator. |

More MagPul......
UBR in its prototype form.... ![]() This was a prototype, they did not let anyone play with fearing the latch would not wtihstand the abuse. nevertheless, I like it. ![]() This same tube can also be fitted with a adapter and the stock can be change to the new precision M95. the small black tab is the lock out by pass, much like the older M93's plastic tab that you insert into the buffer tube notch. notice the sling attachment points. at this point the latch is locked and also keeping pressure on the A1 length buffer tube keeping the stock rock solid on the tube... This new buffer tube is A1 length with out the need for a receiver end plate and castle nut. ![]() with the latch open... ![]() Remember how i said the coolest things are the small stuff.. this this the best invention that caught my eyes, how many of you have work your MOLLE pouches on and off your vest? how tough it was to weaver the tabs through and straps? this plastic Godsend solve all your problems of weaving on your MOLLE pouches... first you line up the straps on the vest vs. the pouch... then you carefully insert this plastic guide through all the straps...hook the MOLLE tab with the snap button to the plastic guide ![]() then you pull the strap through with the MOLLE tab lock into the plastic guide.. ![]() as the plastic guide is pull through, the MOLLE strap is also pull through therefore the weaving is complete, just snap the button the pouch and you are good to go.. this process takes about a minute. with out any headache and finger pain... I love it... ![]() ![]() Victor, our resident NV expert shows why he loves the MagPul PRS, the cheek weld gives a perfect height for his NV scope. ![]() Rich with his multi-colored M4 ![]() Rich proudly posing in front of his booth with the Next we are off to the LMT booth to check out the new 6.8 MRP comversion.... |

This should pretty much round off the part two for the day...
LMT booth feature a lot of their MRP.. in my opinion the perfect direct gas system...solid rail platform, qucik change barrel, and now interchagable caliber... ![]() The trio of LMT goodies... ![]() another angle ![]() The CQB with Tangodown VFG and EOTech 553.. not every vender got a 553 this year... I hand carried this puppy through Shot so I can take pics of the goods with the 553 mounted... can any one said I am an EOTech guy.... ![]() This is the 6.8 caliber conversion, a new barrel with the usual M4 ramp cut, and a new enhanced bolt...of course you supply the magazines and ammo. ![]() You might be interest in this little bit of intel...LMT is testing a 204 Ruger, this will fit into any standard magazines... this is a 16inch test barrel, but the production barrel will be in 20inch form. Ok... enjoy, tomorrow will be HK 416, Troy, Vltor and ARMS.... I apologize for not hitting more venders, but I was so busy those two days, I had a hard time getting to all the venders, and a lot of the vender are so busy I feel bad bugging them for some photo time and tech talk. by the way, you can go to my photo host site to see the pics also...some of the pics I can post will also be in there.
