My local gun guy has a Colt AR-15A1 with a 7 number SN. It is the classic configuartion with triangular handguards and the 3 prong flashider. It is in great shape and appears to have VERY little wear. As a bonus, it comes equipped with an authentic Colt scope. I could walk out the door with it for $1150.00. What would you do?

Mine, too. You say it is in the A1 configuration? I mean, with the forward assist? Definitely GO FOR IT. The Colt Scope alone is worth a couple hundred bucks, easy.

Well, I'll tell you this. It's NOT a 1970s production rifle, and it didn't come w/a three prong suppressor originally. Now that doesn't mean it's not worth what he's asking. I don't keep track of what Colt stuff is going for these days; but be aware. The piece has been fiddled with. Maybe it's only a replacement flash suppressor------and maybe it's a lot more.
