Looking for any 22 caliber replicas of the AR 15 for the little guy-not conversions-I know Bushmaster makes one and EMF used to make one. Anybody know of any other manufacturers? Thanks-R. Weil at jenlynn.neo.rr.com

I used to have one of those cheap Kassnar .22s that was supposed to look like an AR - it really didn't, except at a distance.  Unreliable & not accurate - sold it years ago.  But that must not be what you are asking about, based on the previous replies...

I once owned an Italian made AP-74 I think it was.  It was real close to an AR in looks.  Thats where it ended, it was the most reliable weapon I ever had.  It jammed reliably with every single press of the trigger.  Want the best .22, get a 10/22.  (I know, I hate Ruger selling us out too, but it is the best .22 out there)

Mortis...

I ordered a complete assembled Lower reciever from DPMS along with my Panther Classic, I'll be putting that upper on the spare lower. It should be a great gun for plinking and punching paper at the range.

Put a Bushmaster Carbon 22LR upper on a std. AR lower, that's what I just did.  It's a complete upper with everything you need, just put it on and go. With the carbon fiber receiver and pencil barrel it makes for a very light and well balanced carbine. Mine just came via big brown truck today!

DAMN YOU ROCKY!!!! Thats the upper I've been looking for! (want an aluminum FH for looks)
I had no idea BM made a carbon lighweight upper in .22 RF. Damn, now I gotta break out the Visa....
Its going on a Stinger lower with Yellow CAV arms furniture. Gonna be the wifes rifle for plinking out at our camp. OK, I may play with it too! Sheesh.

ETA: The deed is now done. No going back now.

Bushmaster makes a Carbon 15 model that is chambered in 22LR and they make the Carbon upper that will install on any AR lower.  I have'nt heard anything negative about the BM 22 uppers yet.

The Carbon 22LR uppers will install on any lower???? Right? (they include a new buffer and spring).

I have to disagree with this.  I have 2 custom 10/22's (VQ's) and I really like a dedicated upper when it comes to plinking.  My V22 is just as accurate as my $700.00+ 10/22 and cost half as much.
Now if someone would only make hi-cap mags for it.

DPMS has Hi-Caps coming for it's .22 uppers. They might work in other .22 applications

If you look around, you may be able to find  a Mitchel .22 cal AR "LOOK-Alike". I owned one and had no problems with it, son just out grew it.

Took the Bushmaster carbon 22LR out last night.  Here is my first 10 shot group @50' , out of the box before zeroing the sights using CCI std. velocity.  This upper shoots waaaaaay better than I thought it would.

The Southern Gun Company here in the UK have recently started to manufacture and sell a 25 shot Magazine for the V22 the quality and construction is very good. I have one and it works well. http://www.southern-gun.co.uk/ The Mags are not listed on the website but they are available mail order. Cost around £48.00

That was a Armi Jeager (sp). My brother had one in the 80s.. Big POS.. They made one in .32 ACP also. There was a SBRd one on one of the boards a while back.. I thought that was pretty funny...

I have one of the Amri Jager's under my bed right now. My dad bought it used when I was like 11(7 years ago) It looks cooler than it actually is though Giver a good soak-down in WD-40 and feed some decent remington ammo through it and it still works OK though. I usta be able to shoot 20 oz. bottlecaps off at around 40-45 feet with it offhand.......between jams

I bought a dpms A2 22 at camp perry 2 years ago for my daughter.  She took 4th at state 4-h small bore last year with  little training. she shoots highpower also.  the only problem with it is you cant put your hand on thebottom of mag during standing it will cause the rifle will jam more than not .  other than that it works great no problems   it fits on my colt, dpms, armalite, and bushmaster lowers and the .22 marked lower fits all the 223 uppers.

I have an Armscor M1600r that I bought about 18 yrs ago for about $90 new. I still have it, it has never given me any problems with jamming and is very accurate. Couldn't afford a AR back then so it was the closest, cheapest alternative.
