Will you guys be making any AR 5.45X39 30 round Mags. Their are only C Product Mags available now and the follower on them sucks and I would like to have something more realiable than their mags.

No I'm looking for AR 5.45 X 39 for my smith and wesson. The only company that makes them for AR's is C Products and I would like to have polymer mags instead of steel.

I'm sure there would be a market for AR 5.45X39 mags since smith and wesson has an upper and their are a few other companies now making uppers in this calibre.

sorry for mis-reading the AR portion of that the first time around. I'll have to look into that. I would guess if anything the AK Body would be used with a different head that work in the AR mag well. The rounds will likely stack the same below the portion that is in the rifle... but i'll do some research. Thanks for the request guys...

I think you should start a poll in the AR Variant section to see what kind of interest it will gage for you.

Actually the C products magazines *SEEM* to be standard AR bodies, but with a different follower to accomidate the different case dimensions. They *SEEM* to have the same amount of bend in them as regular .223 magazines too. A polymer magazine shouldn't be a problem for Tapco if you guys put your collective minds to it. I'd buy ten if you came out with it, and I'm sure others would buy more.
There are quite a lot of us with guns that are 5.45x39 that take AR15 magazines. |

I'd pick up some of these mags. Spike's, S&W and others have all jumped on the 5.45 bandwagon.... And so did I with a S&W 5.45 AR Upper. Definately need more mags for it......

Just throwing my vote in, I would definetely buy 10 or more polymer 5.45x39 AR mags to go with Adams Arms 5.45 piston upper.

I would be willing to beta test them for you as well!
A lot of companies making 5.45x39 ARs; Adams Arms, S&W, Model 1 Sales, LWRC, Spikes Tactical and I am sure there are more that I haven't run across yet. |

Lack of mag choices is the main reason I haven't got a Spikes 5.45 upper yet. I'd be willing to bet Tapco could sell plenty.

ETA- yes Tapco, do make quality, affordable 5.45 AR mags please. |

I'd love to have more options for AR15 5.45x39 mags than just one company.
The 5.45x39 AR is my most shot rifle, and all mags from the one, and only, current maker of these mags are spotty at best. The ammo is dirt cheap, and it will continue to be my most shot rifle - and that means I need more mags - preferably mags that don't suck. The cost of this ammo has more people making uppers/rifles for this chambering. Olympic, Smith and Wesson, LWRC, Adams Arms, and Spikes are all makers that have 5.45 AR's out there off the top of my head, and a lot more people are looking at these as lower cost shooting offerings. |

There is definitely a waiting market for reliable 5.45mm AR mags. The C Product 5.45mm mags (all of their mags, really, but the 5.45mm mags more so than the others) are iffy, and they're really all that's available. Personally, I don't care what they're made out of; steel, aluminum or polymer; as long as they work properly. If you could change the "feed tower" of your AK-74 mags and get them to work with a Spike's upper kit, I'd probably be down for that. I'm sitting on around 10,000 rounds of Russian surplus ammo, and I'm dying to get some 5.45mm AR mags that work, without sending half of them back for replacement mags that may or may not work still. Re: Olympic Arms uppers I'm pretty sure I saw the 5.45mm OlyArms upper for sale on MidwayUSA.com. |

Any news on this Tapco. I totally forgot to talk to you guys about this at Shot show. I'm also wanting their to be more than one company that makes mags for the AR 5.45 x 39 platform.

Now that Cproducts is in turmoil I think now would be a great time for Tapco to step up to the plate and rescue everyone who is stuck with half-ass 5.45 AR mags.F.Y.I you (Tapco) would be the only game in town for these mags and I would bet money you could make a profit. So why wait any longer? Stop reading this get up and go make some functioning 5.45X39 AR 15 mags because we the people need them yesterday.

I've brought this up several times as a good product idea... Help me out with a few emails into customer service.. customerservice@tapco.com , email in that you really really want this mag to happen. We show that there are people wanting this thing and we can make it happen!
