My Optimus should be getting out of jail next month (hopefully anyways)
|

There seems to be a general shortage all across the fruited plain for 1/2 x 28 taper mounts of any kind. I had to settle on a minimalist brake today, but I'd like something full size for an SPR flash hider, hammer comp, brake it doesn't matter......
Does Griffin have the ability to have people give their emails for notification on their website? |
|
Put me in the same boat of people looking for 556 taper muzzle devices, particularly the stealth flash hiders both long and short. I have sent them a few emails but never got a response. They used to be good about answering emails. I did just score a hammer comp. I must have gotten the last one because I don't see them available anymore.

I heard from them a week or so ago, theyre retooling the machines they use to make the muzzle devices, etc.

I've got an Optimus in jail too.
I ordered some muzzle devices from these guys: https://54-17arms.com/product-category/silencer-accessories/ They have a number of them in stock and they have free shipping. |

This is a couple weeks out. They are really close, entering some final steps - blasting, nitride etc.

I got my recce out of jail..
I tried emailing GA directly but no response after multiple emails :( Any news on the hammer comp / flash comp? I absolutely hate the minimalist brake it came with.. |

Hammer comps are in production. I don't know when they will be through production but they are in production.

Got my hammer comps today. These are really nice looking muzzle devices.
I really wish Griffin would make a 7.62 hammer comp. |

It's got two. Mine just arrived today. Might be a little while before I get to try them, but they are well-designed and made. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

If this is the one you're talking about then I believe it only has one baffle. If not then disregard. I tried, but with daylight (or more light), you can't see anything. I'll try tomorrow.

Never did get a good pic down the bore, but I did get them mounted. We post some picks later. I think I prefer these over the hammer comps now.

I appreciate your patience... Works been crazy.

That thing is awesome looking. Think I'm gonna snatch one.
Nice rifle too, btw... |

Any write-ups on how this compares to the previous flash comp? Better at reducing muzzle rise/recoil, but more side blast?
