Rudy,
I've been shooting traditional .45 230 grain loads out of my carbine, but a thread on another forum got me wondering about more powerful loads.
Easier to ask than experiment... how will your upper hold up to +P or Super? I'm sure, like most guns, it would be fine with a few rounds of either of those, but not looking to beat the upper to hell.
The latter is kind of a pointless question for me, as they are priced around $1 per round, but Buffalo Bore does have 185 grain rounds doing 1,300 FPS out of a 5" 1911. The other s***s and giggles load I was looking at was the Liberty Civil Defense 78 grain +P, doing about 1,900 FPS (probably out of a similar 5" barrel).
Went through your FAQ for the AR45 and the other threads, but didn't see any mention of it.
Respectfully,
-John
