Rudy I'm getting light primer strikes resulting in unfired rounds, I've tried factory & reloads. The trigger group is an ALG-ACT trigger. It had the light hammer spring in it so I changed to the heaver spring with no help. I took the BCG apart and cleaned all the parts in an ultrasonic cleaner and then blew them out with air, also putting another firing pin I had. Went out yesterday and same results. Some will fire with a 2nd go around some not. Any ideas what to check?
Update:
I just cleaned it again , disassembled the BCG & ran it through the ultrasonic cleaner and blew it out with air. Lubed it up. I cleaned the lug recesses with a new non rotating handle and a new 223 stainless brush.
When I put it back together I saw what if happening, the bolt is not closing all the way and when I pull the trigger it jumps forward. Now if you can just tell me what to do to fix it. The gun is always shot with a 45 octane on it.
I change the buffer and spring (std GI) and now it closes up, so I think it;s fixed. My neighbors would get up set with night fire.
The 45 ACP springs and spacer worked in the Pro Mags with about an 8 rd capacity, I can live with it until we get the new ones.
They even locked back!
Thanks
Jim
