Curious, I have heard you use a custom length gas tube etc for the DI 7.62X25 uppers. Any chance you sell the parts if someone wants to assemble the upper themselves?

I haven't done a Tok-15 in years........but it shouldn't be an issue to run a few parts.....I actually started a test batch of Magwell adapter catches ....just haven't had time to finish them What all exactly did you need?

Assuming you are using a normal gas block, I'd need the custom length gas tube, bolt, barrel, and the magwell block. Kinda want to build it on one a Matrix Aerospace side charging upper. I'd be using primarily PPU factory or reloads, so no surplus for the most part.

the Gas block is a straight tube block....so you'll need it as well....barrel and bolt aren't a issue......just have to get the adapter back in production.......any chance you know what brand lower you'll be using?
I have a WIDE selection so I can make the adapter to the same maker if I have one. What length barrel did you have in mind? |

Was thinking a threaded 16 inch barrel.
Lower, nothing special, more than likely an anderson. |

As you are the second request I have had for TOK barrels and Mag adapters this week......will try and do a short run soon......

lol please let me know, I am 8 weeks out from hardship tour in Korea for 12 months. Kinda want to at least get the parts together before I have to leave the states. This election and the possible consquences are weighing heavily on my mind.

Id be interested in a tok barrel and ppsh 43 magwell adapter, wish someone would do a dedicated ppsh 43 mag AR lower!

Still waiting myself :P I think the .45 acp mag project has them still busy.

Think a few of us would love a lower like that. The commercial ammo is not all that expensive for 7.62X25. Normally I see PPU amo for around 19 to 21 a box at cabelas.

View Quote Definitely something I'd like to do......but would have to do at least a hundred minimum to justify the design time and tooling and figuring out HOW to make the magwell......it is either machined or broached...and that'd be an expensive broach.......any objection to a machined magwell with a couple of pinned in fillers....????? It would significantly simplify fitting the mag catch so you don't have to cut on the PPS43 mags and retain the AR mag catch location......I was always dropping the mag adapter with my USC adapter...LOL. |

Id be good with machined magwell and pinned fillers, would rather have a that fit the mag without fillers etc but understand the cost that would be

It is...we are retooling the gas block process from a 3 axis mill and a LOT of vises....a progressive set up...to a 4th axis process....as soon as it is runing....we'll be working on the solid model for the Tok 15 mag catch....

Rudy... is the pressure characteristic (gas hole diameter and location of the gas block) of a 7.62x25 close enough that other than modifying the bolt face and barrel diameter to make a 9mm DI upper?
|
|
|
[#23]
No....Tokarev is a higher pressure round with a smaller diameter projectile.....so the gas port can be further from the chamber mouth and avoid the issues of a 9mm DI. I have built one....the problem is it actually blows chunks of jacket metal off the base of the bullet. DI 9mm just isn't practical.....

Have orders stacked...just trying to wade through them in order.....and we did just announce the 10mm DI with the new Green Swamp Tactical large frame lower....I provided the parameters for the lower , they modeled it and made it.....and it runs perfect with 45 and 10mm

I just came across this thread.
I'm interested in an upper for burning up my surplus X25 from Kengs back in the day. I'd also need direction on what type of lower to pick up. If that lower could also play nicely with 10mm I'd be really happy. If you need my info, down/prepayment I'd be happy to supply it. Thank you and Happy New Year! |

Rudy, Have you started selling the 7.62x25 uppers yet? I sure would like to have one if the price is right. Thanks...Ken
