I received the can of Wipe-Out that I ordered from amazon.com, but it was missing the black spout which makes it very hard to get a decent seal against the barrel or the chamber on my SPC. I called the company customer service number and they offered a refund and shipping cost for return of the Wipe-Out. The person I talked to could not answer my question where was the black spout.
Please note that if you use this item you will have to seal off the holes in your A2 suppressor or other items that are attached to the front of the barrel if you put this product into the muzzle end or you will have a mess and the product will not do very well going into the barrel. I tried using my bore guide and after a couple tries was unable to get a decent seal. Still after a couple tries I was able to get some of the Wipe-Out into the barrel and after waiting about 10 minutes I ran a patch and there was some very little light color blue on the patch. So I would assume the product does work as advertised. I stopped at this point and re-ordered the product from another supplier. I highly suggest that you not order this product from amazon.com and if you want to try or use it I would recommend that you order it from either sharpshootr.com phone# 785-883-4444 or maybe E.Arther Brown Company ( eabco.com/WipeOut.htm ) 1-800-950-9088 and when you order I highly suggest that you order items: 111-510 wipe-out spray can foam and 111-007 Wipe-Out spout.. I personally recommend the sharpshootr.com. Note for AR-15 I was told by sharpshootr.com that the black spout would have to be modified by grinding the diameter down to fit the AR-15 chamber. As soon as I get the required outer diameter requirement I will try to measure it and past on the information here. I will do another reply after I get items and report how it works, hopefully without a big mess while using it. |

Wipe-Out was a suggested barrel cleaning product, see my topic "bolt cleaning assembly...." along with another product. WW (ME) mention it and had a sample being sent to him to test. Note that prior to trying Wipe-Out the barrel had been cleaned with BreakFree CLP. I thought I would mention a few problems and the fact that the Wipe-Out sold by amazon.com is missing the black spout needed to get a seal against the barrel or the chamber which made using this product on AR-15 for sure a problem along with the fact that if the product was used from the muzzle end that the open areas of the SRC Flash suppressor or other items like it would have to be seal to use it. I hope that explains the reason for my topic. |

I thought maybe the company would like some business by having us stock their product. Anyway, I appreciate the report on this stuff. It does sound like a nice product that is safe on chrome lining. |

WW (ME)
I just got off the phone with sharpshootr.com about Wipe-Out and did pick up some interesting information. The product does require the optional spout ($2.50) and the optional spout needs to be slightly modified for the AR-15 as it is to large for the use against the chamber. The optional spout has to be grind down some for a proper fit against the chamber. I would think that if ordered by phone from sharpshootr.com (785-883-4444) they may sent the modified spout when ordering (?). He recommended that for the first time to leave it in the barrel overnight and then run a couple patches and then use the Wipe-Out again and check the patch after 10 minutes to ensure the barrel is clean. |

I was able today to get the SRC barrel full of Wipe Out with parts from the roomy brother-in-law's service truck. I have not received the modified spout for the AR15 yet from sharpshootr. My SRC had been clean prior with Break Free CLP and on my first attempt to use Wipe Out which came without the black spout I was able to get some of it into the barrel and did get some very light blue on the patches. This time I for sure got a full barrel of Wipe Out and the results were very, very little light blue and some black on the patches. Looking down the inside of the barrel looks great to me. Not sure if the black was from the oiling the changer lug area or not. The fourth patch came out with nothing on it.
When the weather down here in Pensacola clears up I will make a run to the range and give Wipe Out a real checkout. Hopefully Eric at Windham Weaponry will soon receive the promised Wipe Out and can give us a gunsmith report. |

I did get an e-mail and a call from Terry at Wipe out. We've been playing phone tag. He sent me a bunch of information on the different products they offer. Hopefully I will be getting some samples in to try.

Ran over to range and was able to shoot 40 rounds of Federal .223, before condition started to look like the rain was heading my way. After getting back to house I was again able to full the barrel with Wipe Out with some overrun into the camber area and out the Flash Suppressor and let the SRC sit for over two hours before cleaning. I did not get what appears to be any blue color on the patches except a little in the camber and inside of the Flash Suppressor. The patches from the barrel was only black with no visual sign of any blue color. I again applied Wipe Out and waited about 20 minutes with more or less same results.
Maybe due to the limited shooting there was not enough there to make any visual sign. |

I had a nice talk with Terry Paul of Sharp Shoot R products yesterday about Wipe out. He's sending me several samples of different things they offer. I'm really curious about the "Tactical Advantage". He said some of the guys at the old "Black Water" training facility used it with good results. That one apparently cleans carbon and copper fouling. Sounds like a good all around cleaner.
Anyway, I've got some pretty filthy test guns here at the factory I will try it out on and report the results. If the stuff works well I'm going to suggest that we carry some of it in retail here at Windham Weaponry. |

I saw a interesting article on 6mmbr.com concerning Wipe Out setup on using 1/4 od & 3/8 od plastic tubing that might be interesting to those that might want to try it without buying the $2.50 extra spout.
www.6mmbr.com/jbwipeout.html I saw several interesting items at www.6mmbr.com from several free to print targets and .223 bullet information just to mention a couple. Looking forward to your feedback on the sharpshootr's products. Likewise the tactical advantage looked interesting and I order it to try also. |

I clean all my rifles in this manner sing the Accelerator first. No problem getting lots of blue patches coming out. I know the guy in this video and he shoots a lot every day.
