Hello, I am Erik Winter gunsmith for Windham Weaponry. I have 14 years of experience working on AR15s and M16s. I do repairs and upgrades for pretty much any AR15 or M16 as well as warranty work on our own weapons. Along with this I offer factory tech support and moderate our industry forum here on AR15.com. If you need any help I am only a phone call or an e-mail away.
If you have any AR15 or M16 (requires proper paperwork) that is in need of service we can repair pretty much any issue you have.
We do installation of any parts that require a gunsmith to install or install parts you purchase from us. The gunsmithing fee is $65 per hour unless we are installing parts you purchased from us in which case there is no charge.
Currently we are restricted to 223/5.56NATO caliber for any functionality issues until we offer other calibers.
If you are interested in this service give Matt or Cheryl in customer service a call at 1-855-808-1888 for a quote

I don't post much here lately, but I'd like to say a few words about Erik.
Erik, their gunsmith and tech support specialist, is a personal friend of mine for some time. Given the respect I have for his integrity, expertise with the weapon platform, and intellect, I am positive you will be happy with any job you send to him via Windham Weaponry.

He did not solicit this plug, I'm just a nosy friend

All my old tools! They are all in Ilion, New York now. Probably still on a pallet in the back of some forgotton warehouse.
They did leave my old bench behind though...I'm still using that

You seem to be doing a fine job with the new tools that WW purchased for you!

I'm guessing those new tools work just fine. He turned my rifle around in a day with my accessories and a repair issue. I'm convinced he knows what he's doing.

Erik, The tools work just fine. Got the rifle back today and just got back from the range. After the re-sighting process the gun went through 150 rounds. Nothing to report other than this is a very very nice gun. Kudos to all in Windham Maine.

I was not familiar with Windham when I recently purchased components to build my AR. I do not trust any of the shops in my area to assemble my upper so is this a service I could use to assemble my upper components?

Thanks!

Yes it sure is. Just call customer service at 1-855-808-1888 and you can set up an RMA to have the work done. And you can e-mail me directly at ewinter@windhamweaponry.com to communicate what you need done.

I have a 308 AR that is dipped like that in mossy oak. I really like the finish. how do I keep it that way?
I was cleaning it with what i dont remember now but it started to wrinkle it up in a place. what can I put on it
as an over coat? i havent done it yet because i would hate to find out the hard way what NOT to use.

What is the assembly tool/fixture used in these pictures?
I noticed in the Windham Factory Tour video that it has the block on top for the gas key channel, and the alignment rod for the gas tube too.
Is it a shop fabbed one off, or is it available commercially?...If so, I want one.
Very nice tool.
Thanks.

The upper reciever spuds are not available commercially at this point. This is something that was custom made for our shop. I am currently inquiring to see if this is something we can offer for sale.
The only thing I can tell you for sure is that they were pretty expensive.

I'm not sure. I think different companies use different kind of coatings. I just put some Action Blaster on one of the rails that GI-Brat sent in and it didn't touch the coating. So it's at least safe with that stuff.
