IMHO, the problem with the billet lower thing (ambi or non ambi) is that no matter what, you're going to piss someone off with the aesthetics.
Yeah, yeah, function over form, yadda yadda, along with functional considerations, most billet lowers are built with one design aesthetic or another, and designed to look "cool" as well as be functional. The problem is, however, not everyone agrees on what looks "cool." My personal opinion is that cool or not cool, a lot of the lowers out there "date" themselves too because of their design aesthetics, you can tell what was "cool" at the time the lower was designed, which may or may not age well. A standard AR lower, meanwhile is pretty classic and hard to argue with. Personally, I would probably most prefer an ambi-lower that had "classic" lines, something like the HK416A5, LWRCi IC, or LMT MARS lowers. Maybe ALG and Geissele receivers? ALG could make a QMR, Quality Mil-Spec Receiver in the standard forged style, and Geissele could make ambi Super Precision Receivers (SPR )? Or, save SPR for complete rifles as the Super Precision Rifle, and drive the cloners mad! You could have a Super Precision Rifle, along with a Super Combat Carbine (SCC). SBR/PDW variant could be a SSR, Super Short Rifle... Uppers and lowers could be Super Upper and Lower Receiver, SUR and SLR. Super Receiver Set (SRS) ..... ~Augee |

MARS/KAC/PWS style is probably the most timeless design to pull of good looks and function. Any of those plus DDC would pretty much be the best.

I see what you're sayng, but "cool" lasting isn't really a concern. Even if it goes out of style for a few years a new design will sell in its place. Then the old style will surge back as a "classic" and sell for more than msrp. I say collect them all.

Yes I need a matching set please. Especially since I just got a super charging handle in DDC and was lucky enough to find an MK5 rail new in DDC

I showed my wife this thread.
She said we're in for 3. One needs to be purple. Please don't argue with her. |

I hope you guys are paying attention to Geissele's Instagram feed...there seems to be a fair amount of teasers regarding DDC receivers.
Of course, they have said nothing official. But there are lots of pics and I'm not sure who else's they could be. |

Having built around the rail and trigger my middle son got in Texas, I have run out of receivers.
I will not buy receivers until I see what Geissele puts out. |

Definitely want some G receivers in DDC.
And, yeah, I'd buy an ALG receiver set in purple, to match the EMR V2 I got during the blem sale. I was going to get a receiver set Cerakoted for that, but pretty please, ALG? |

You can go ahead and send me one I suppose. I'll figure out something to do with it.

I need a DDC upper/lower for my.....wait for it......

Voting again - DDC upper & lower. Putting in 60 deg safety markings and ambi bolt release would make even cooler.

Even if it wasn't a classic AR15 upper/lower, I'd get one because I know Geissele would design an awesome one!

If the lower has to be billet instead of classic, can I request:
"Super Billet Receiver," AKA - "SBR"? ~Augee |

If it was going to be "the best", would it be a mur upper and forged/flared lower like the noveske gen2 (harvey anchor)?
Or and alloy like hodge? |

Lord, yes. DDC sets, and please don't let any haters ruin it for the rest of us by whining about whether the DDC components match. LWRC had a lovely MRE anodized color that they quit making because the safe-queen idiots moaned about the occasional mismatch. Oh, and I'd definitely be in for a few purple sets, too!!
