I just put together a 9mm AR-15 using a New Frontier Armory lower and bolt. Everything seemed to function test fine with a GI trigger; however, I then installed a G2S trigger and now I'm unable to pull the bolt all the way back. It seems as if the bolt is hitting the top of the hammer which is blocking it from going all the way back. The below pic is as far back as I can pull the bolt with the G2S installed. When I take the upper off and line up the bolt with the lower in the same position as the below pic it looks like that's the spot on the bolt right at the bottom of the ramp so the hammer's hitting the lower part of the bolt. When comparing the G2S to a GI trigger I can see the G2S sticks up higher when I try pushing them both down as far as they'll go so that's why the GI trigger isn't having the same issue.
Has anyone ever tried this combo of a G2S with a New Frontier Armory 9mm AR and has it worked for you? Or a G2S in any other 9mm AR?
I contacted the shop where I bought the lower and bolt. The person I spoke with said he has 4 of the same lowers as I have with various Geissele triggers installed and they all work fine, but he didn't have a G2S. Is there something different about the G2S that causes the hammer to stick up a little higher which would cause it to interfere with the bolt? Does the G2S have the same dimensions as an SSA? I'm pretty sure I've heard people say they've used SSAs with these lowers.
And I'm not implying there's anything wrong with my G2S; it just may not be compatible with this lower (which is quite disappointing since it's a very nice trigger and I really wanted to use it in this lower).
Thanks
