On the fundraiser mounts, are shipping notices going out? I never received an order confirmation and called in to confirm receipt of funds but hadn't heard anything since.

View Quote I don't think shipping notices are going out. I did receive an email confirming receipt of funds a while back. Still no mount here and it's hard seeing some have been in hands for a week or so. I just hope mine hasn't been "delivered" to a neighbor. |

Some who got a 34 said they just showed up. I haven't heard of any 30mm being received yet. |

Good observation. I didn't notice that all the pics were 34s. I'm just being impatient and I need to do better. It was the pics of the other mounts that got me riled up so I blame you guys!

No tracking info or email, but I do have my address registered for UPS My Choice so I was notified of delivery two days in advance.

When the 34mm ones were being shipped, G said the 30mm ones were heading out for anodizing and would ship soon afterward.

The 30MM mounts should be shipping this week. Thank you guys for your patience!

Is there any plan to integrate T1 or RMR mounts into the 30mm and 34mm tube mounts, ie machine the front cap with a mount surface/rail or drill and tap the front cap for an additional mount plate? What about an independent tube mount for T1/RMR that complements the SPOM?

Got my 30MM in.
Now to decide on a scope. I really liked that Vortex 2.5x10x32MM XLR MOA optic and also the Leupold Mk4 2.5-8x34.. |
|
My 30mm came in yesterday. Simply amazing! This thing does not move at all on the rail even before the nuts are tightened. It's unbelievable. The color is awesome also. Another outstanding Geissele product!
Now like most of you guys I need to buy another optic. Hmmm... |
|
I received my 30mm mount from the fund raiser today. They are very, very nice. I was a tad bummed that I did not order two originally but now I'm even more upset that I did not order two. Highly doubt I would buy more at the $400ish dollar list price but at $200, I would definitely buy more.

Favorite medium range optic prefer it to the mk6 1-6 even. |

Called the good folks at Geissele today and they informed me the 30mm mounts are approximately 4-5 weeks out. I'm gonna hold out until they are available for an extended mount.

So have all the 30 MM mounts shipped? I got an email notice of receipt for my donation MO, and it looks like a lot of people got their 30 MM's last week. I'm beginning to get worried that someone jacked my mount out of the mailbox or off the front porch.

If they all went out within a day or two, seems like you should've gotten yours by now. |

I got my 2 30mm mounts this evening. Is there a recommended ring torque? http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums/ii522/Rickesis/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_6100_zpsxmwejoj0.jpg A word of caution to those wanting to put this on a cerakoted rail... you may lose some paint trying to get the recoil lugs in the rail. Ask me how I know. View Quote I was going to do 18-19in/lb |

Should loctite 242 (blue) be used on the rings and or the base screws ?
Do the base screws just need to be finger tightened to stay in put or do they need to be set to a particular torque value ? |

View Quote I just use blue loctite on anything that has threads and on a gun. They say finger tight is enough. Would like an answer to this as well. |

Hey Guys,
Thread locker is not needed for the caps or the clamps. However, if thread locker is used for the cap screws, use loctite 222 purple. We do not recommend using red or blue versions. -Geissele Customer Service |

All mounts are going into production and we are dialing in the machines right now. The Hyper Extended 30mm's are expected to be done in about 3 to 4 weeks. Thanks for hanging in there!
