Having spent time lurking and reading for a couple of years before
joining, I have no recollection of reading of this particular issue
before.
Just built out an Anderson MFG lower with Brownell's ALG ACT
trigger/DPMS lower parts kit. Upper is all BCM including Gunfighter CH
Mod 3.
Performed function checks from checklist as I went through - everything on the green.
Just fired first test shots:
1st - Boom! and ejected
2nd - Pulled trigger - Nada - have run across FTE before so I Safe
weapon and eject a complete .223 round - no feed marks, etc - but I have
run across some .223 without enough "oomph" so I insert magazine of
XM193 on hand just in case
3rd - Boom! and ejected
4th - Pulled trigger - Nada - eject a complete .223 round - no feed
marks, etc - magazine was left in gun but as I switch from Safe to Fire I
hear a slight 'click" sound - ????
5th - Boom! and ejected - reset Safety, hear click
6th - Boom! and ejected - reset Safety, hear click
7th - Boom! and ejected - reset Safety, hear click - Safe weapon, drop XM193 mag, insert .223 mag - XM193 in chamber
8th - Boom! and ejected - reset Safety, hear click - XM193 gone no have .223 in chamber
9th - Boom! and ejected - reset Safety, hear click
10th - Boom! and ejected - reset Safety, hear click
Quoted:I had the same issue with a Timney. Problem is with over-heavy
disconnector engagement and/or too weak trigger return spring. Safety is
forcing the trigger to reset by depressing the tail. Confirm by
pushing FORWARDS on trigger instead of using safety... should reset as
normal.

BINGO!Testing per your suggestion
confirmed your diagnosis!!
I pulled the ALG ACT (which includes trigger, disconnect, hammer, pins
and ALL associated springs) and dropped in one of my spare FCG's.
Test fire with replacement FCG -
Boom! Boom! Boom! You, sir, are a gentleman, a scholar and if I had a way to send you some good booze,
I would!Quoted:I'd want to be 10,000% sure that ALG trigger had been installed
correctly. All of ALG's products are made with the same level of
precision as Geissele's products. Unless it was installed incorrectly,
there's something wrong with some part in that trigger.

Clean build of a new lower - trigger first, then hammer, then safety -
function checks passed perfectly after install and after malfunction.
Spare trigger and matching hammer installed with the same safety (DPMS lower kit) since the ALG ACT does not include safety.
Replacement trigger passed function check perfectly - and passed test firing perfectly.
I would NEVER have expected this from an ALG trigger. Never.
Visual inspection of ALG ACT after removal shows what looks like a GTG set up.
The disconnector was pinned into the trigger as delivered and was never
removed or fell out. If the spring is in upside down (as someone in the Tech forum suggested), it came that way
from ALG.
As I noted above, the ALG disconnect spring seems to take HALF the
compression required compared side by side with my original Colt FCG
from my 6940.
The only additional observation ... the ALG disconnect spring seems to
take HALF the compression required compared side by side with my
original Colt FCG from my 6940.
I am going open a thread on the Geissele Industry partner forum and will contact Brownell's on Monday morning.
I will follow up over here to share what I learn.

I don't know if anyone associated with ALG monitors this group over the weekend. As noted above the weapon is working correctly with the replacement FCG but since I truly mean I would never have expected this malfunction to ever occur, I thought letting ALG/Geissele know directly since Brownell's reputation for resolving problems is exemplary but I don't know if they would raise the problem back to Geissele or just write it off.
For my money, Geissele makes the best triggers on the market. I bought a High Speed National Match and it was literally a revelation to me when I first shot it.
Any insights would be appreciated.
