You guys need to get those mills rolling, wife says we're doing baby #2 this fall so I need to buy all my parts while I still have any $$$ left!

MK6 and MK7 are still a go. Magpul approached with the M-LOK system and we put the MK6/7 on hold to focus on getting this right. So we will be switching focus back soon. The current KeyMod rails being offered will not be dropped, they will all continue to be available. Hope this clears some things up!

I'd be happy to test out some mk6 rails this year at Cola Warrior. Just let me know who to pay

And I got all excited when the man himself posted in my thread thinking he would tell me where to send money for a demo mk6

So. I need a new rail for a SR-15 upper, any chance I should wait on a Mk6?

Everytime a rail comes out they are changing and working on a new one so just gonna wait it out.
I really want to see the mk6. Is it me or does the rail sections on the mk8 look thicker than the keymod? |

Can't wait to see this.
Knowing Geissele quality, if it comes in a 9.5 ( ) it will be my new goto rail for sbrs. |

I couldn't even get any super secret knowledge of the mk6 from the Geissele people who were at Cola Warrior.

If the price point I heard it would be offered for it would own its market.

I'd share if I knew but you have to wait for Sagmill or gajp to update this thread with info.

What's the word on the MK6? I've installed some other rails recently that made me very much miss your fantastic barrel nut.

Reminds me of the Troy MRF that I used to have on one of my S&Ws. Not bad looking, I do like the rectangle and kidney shaped cutouts on the MK2, Mk3, MK4 etc... better. That's what makes a Geissele rail look like a Geissele rail. The rail in the pics doesn't look like a Geissele rail. Make sense?

View Quote My hunch is I think there will be some changes seeing the MK7 was purposely trying to be on the heavy side. I can see the MK6 offering more cutouts to lose weight and follow the other rails before it. |

Perfect sense. Round holes are there to leave the Max amount of weight possible on the rail and get some cooling. Even though the cooling is partially blocked by the internal lead weights
