A slowly growing family.
It's not my final choice for an optic on the DPMS G2 308, but I had to put something on it... I'm probably building the 300 BLK upper into a dedicated pistol to make transportation a little easier, but I haven't made it that far yet. Attached File I really want to Geissele all the things. Could you guys make a charging handle for my DPMS? I really don't want to try to replicate the body, but I will if I have to... |

Anyone know if the vents on a SF Warcomp will clear the end of a 10" SMR MK3 on a 10.5" barrel? From what I've read I wouldn't be able to Mount my AAC can with the 10" rail on a 10.5" barrel.
Glad I found a MK3, really liked my RAHG on my HK, and I think this is about as close as I can get on a DI. |

Yeah that's what I assumed too based on the torment of a 10.3" barrel and 9.5" rail, it was tight, but I'm hoping the ports of a Warcomp don't end up on the inside of the rail.

Awesome, thanks guys. The last one I had was a MK4 if I recall correctly, can't remember which Mod.
Looking forward to getting this thing together. It's going to have a 10.5 Noveske barrel, Geissele super gas block, Geissele super charging handle, Rainier BCG, and SF Warcomp. Still deciding between an EXPS3-0/G33, NXS 1-4, TR24, and Razor 1-6. I've owned all of those but the Razor and I hear great things about them. Here's a pic of my last Geissele build that eventually went to a friend. Attached File |

Originally tried to direct mount the bipod to the handguard so it could be as low profile as possible, but the bipod stud stuck out a little prouder from the handguard surface, and because of the narrow profile of the SMR (which I love), I wasn't happy with the amount of lateral support for the bipod base. The rail section solves both problems, and with the stud and handstop actually give me a great "index point" on the handguard without the bipod installed. https://scontent-ort2-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t31.0-0/q82/p180x540/22137122_10100125600542765_6973340994656476503_o.jpg?oh=05b9571159fc8c0f676765919e74f898&oe=5A4C2CD1 https://scontent-ort2-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/22141102_10100125600892065_8946118772166779789_n.jpg?oh=8b814c137151062258015056c1b13091&oe=5A80F2CF https://scontent-ort2-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/22195649_10100125610981845_395092068398364709_n.jpg?oh=5a62356b3c5e2d5b63325c75db2d29f8&oe=5A86AA54 https://scontent-ort2-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/22090192_10100125610857095_1453415422373623273_n.jpg?oh=f87f2594a31532c5ad984416995ecd48&oe=5A83B7A2 FCG is a Geissele HK-compatible unit as well. ELCAN is fine on there, but I really want to get something in the 1-6x or 1-8x range to really get the most out of the HK barrel. Ironically, I've got a 34MM Geissele mount sitting around at the house--but no optic to put in it yet. ~Augee View Quote |

Didn't someone chop a 9.5" rail for a FSB 10.3" or 10.5" BBL? I was thinking of doing this.
