The mount pictured has been replaced with a slightly different model. The rifle as pictured has its 6.5 Creedmoor barrel and S/A magazine adapter with .308 magazine in. Enjoy! S/F View Quote Tell me about that upper/lower? Cerakote or anodized? Very nice! |
|
|
You can do that with a bronze shade of Cerakote, or US Anodizing could do it. Beware though that you'll have to start with a receiver in the white, and it might not match any other anodized part exactly. Me, personally, I couldn't care less, as long as its not target indicator black (for the guns that require a bit of visual wizardry).

Saw that OG on the other site. Almost picked it up, but the later revision with the pear cutouts are a bit lighter. Looks like an awesome start to your build!

The BE Meyers 249F is a great flash hider but it's a boat anchor on a rifle this light. I'll be replacing it with a VG6 brake, hopefully I can find one of their original silver or bead blasted brakes to match. View Quote Any chance you could take a pic outside in natural light? I've got a grey V1 I wan to build up, and I have been looking for pics comparing it to the Magpul Stealth Grey. Here you go, on some fresh cut grass. I'll be honest with you. The ALG Gray and the Magpul Stealth Gray DO NOT match. As you can see the Magpul Stealth Gray is MUCH darker. I have confused it with black in dim light. I didn't have them in the original picture but I added the Magpul Type 1 MLOK covers in Stealth Gray and an Aimpoint M2. The covers on the handguard really gives a good idea on their color difference. I should add that this is a BLEM rail from Memorial Day. I can't see a blem on it but maybe it was a color issue? I haven't heard about color blems but to be complete I thought I'd let you know. New Pic Another bad lighting pic |

Not sure why we are even talking about this in a G pic thread now, but are guys really still on the DD gas port BS? Seriously? "Will not run NATO spec ammo". I've got a DD 10.3" barrel w/ regular gas block and its eaten a thousand round suppressed, and not even a hiccup. Mostly NATO ammo and cheaper .223. |
