We have some new products coming out in 2013 and some pricing changes.
New Products: * MK4 rail. Very trick, very lightweight rail for the AR15 to compliment our MK1 and MK2 rails. Similar barrel nut and mounting arrangement as the MK1 and MK2. Total weight for a 13" is at 12.7oz with everything (rail, bbl nut, mounting bolts) * HK417 Rail. Due in March. A modular rail for the HK417 and MR762 guns * Geissele 2 Stage trigger (G2S). This will finally be available for retail sales. $165. A very good 2 stage trigger with the same reliability as the SSA and about the same pull * Super TRICON trigger. This is an SSA with a special shaped bow. Curved on top, flat toward the bottom, serrated gripping surface * Super SCAR. We have developed a precision investment cast version of this trigger and production will finally increase so these will be available. The price will go down from $400 to $325 * Gas Block. A low profile .750 dia gas block investment cast from 17-4 PH stainless steel that can be secured with set screws and/or a roll pin for total security. Lighter than machined versions. * Reaction Rod and Roll pin tool: The AR15 tool is available now and a 7.62 reaction rod will be ready in Feb. Price Changes: The SSA trigger will go up to $210. Other combat triggers approximately $20. Hi Speed NM triggers will remain the same. Rails will remain the same. Super SCAR price will go down $75. Large pin triggers have a slight price increase. All HK triggers and rails will go up significantly to represent the very limited quantities we sell of the HK specific products. ALG Amy is coming our with some pistol equipment. * 6 Second Optic Mount for the Glock 22 family. Developed for the DOD for counter terrorism operations. Will mount an Aimpoint Micro or MRDS very low to the slide and will retain flashlight and laser mount. *Flared Magwell for the Glock. A well done flared magwell for the Glock 22 family Please note: Price increases have been planned since the beginning of December and reflect increased material and labor costs. They are not in response to recent events. Any questions fire away. WHG Edit for " not ' |

I'm building a 3-gun type rifle and have been interested in one of your rails. What can you tell me about the MK4 rail? Is it a quad rail? If that's the case I'll get a Mk I next time I found one available

Although an increase may be inevitable you may want to delay this in light of the present economic and media circus. Trust me, this is huge. Where I live they are raising minimum to over $9.25/hr on January 1. We've had almost a 50% increase in minimum wage during the 7 years I've been with my company, and we are trying to figure out how to pay the new wages without a) cutting hours and/or b) cutting employees. At the very least, this will mean passing the costs on to our guests and customers. It's also not just the minimum wage employees (only the tipped employees make minimum; everyone else makes more). We try to raise everyone's wage proportionally to minimum, else wise the minimum wage employees would have long ago caught up to the higher-than-minimum employees. Sorry to hijack, but I understand Geissele's need to charge more. |

Any valid reason for increases at this time would still be looked upon as a gouge to the consumer based upon the current events. Geisselle is a respected company with a well deserved reputation. I would hate to see it possibly tarnished because of an ill timed price increase. Might want to wait until the panic and madness subsides and clearer heads prevail. |

Wagonwheel,
I appreciate your comments and those who think we are trying to take advantage of last Friday will have to take Bill Geissele at his word. Even if I wanted to go back on my original post we couldnt because our larger distributors who print catalogs were informed of the price increase weeks ago so they could get the catalogs to print for 2013. And if I was out to take advantage of folks I would not have lowered the price of the Scar trigger by $75. I would have just said we are using investment castings so we can increase production and you won't have to wait 9 months for a trigger and kept the price at $400. And my comment about material and labor is not entirely accurate. There are a million things that put pressure on a business, not just two. We don't pay slave labor wages here at Geissele. I have young guys that can raise a family on their pay, great benefits and even a free lunch and dinner prepared by our kick butt chef. |

We hired two guys Monday. CNC operators. Contact us through our website if you are interested.

I too have owned my own business for 25yrs. plus, so I do understand your justifiable reasoning.
Unfortunately current events may have put you in a catch 22 position. Oh well. It does sound like you treat your employees well and provide a great work environment. P.S. I bet your health ins. premiums are going up next quarter. |

Any teasers of the MK4?
I just ordered a MKI 10" for an SBR build, and wondering if I should sell it and hold off... |
|
I'll try and post a pic. If I can figure it out. First prototypes were off the mill yesterday.

All of this looks fantastic. I now own an SSA-E and a MK II, and the quality is beyond belief. Keep it up.

The triggers were all extravagant purchases for me from the get go. I love 'em all and didn't mind buying them. Now they'll cost a little more, but what doesn't in this day and age? I'll still buy them. Just wondering though if the expansion of the companies product line to now include rails isn't a factor in the trigger price increase. The labor cost must be more for skilled machinist and CNC operators. I wouldnt be surprised if the trigger division profits/sales are helping to shore up the fledgling rail division's manufacturing/expansion costs. .

I'd pay $400 for the SCAR trigger, I've been waiting a long time.
$325 will do though. eta: Can we pre-order because when you sell out I don't want to wait a looooong time again. They will sell quick and I'd like to be in line for one. |

Amazing how so many businesses are negatively impacted because minimum wage is increased. Don't know how anyone could raise a family on that type of income. |

Min wage or no min wage, Geissele still gets my support. The quality of the products and customer service is well deserving of a price increase, IMO.

Any prototype pics of the HK MR 762 extended rail? Any ETA on the back ordered triggers for that platform? Would love to get both!
|
|
what lengths for the mark 4, price, wider/narrower than mk1? Preorders would be awesome, before we shoot our wads on other "panic" items LOL. I was going to get a KAC urx3.1, but with these light weights I think I just changed my mind. Preorder discount anyone?

Quoted: * Super SCAR. We have developed a precision investment cast version of this trigger and production will finally increase so these will be available. The price will go down from $400 to $325 |

It's worth the extra $30 to keep a great product being produced by well-payed American workers in the freaking USA! |

I'm new but would love to get this. Haven't found the mk2 in stock anywhere...

Geissele 2 stage? Is this a rerelease of the previously pulled super 2 stage with a $40 price increase?
|
|
Our costs as employers next year are taking a huge leap, so you won't hear any complaining from me. Especially when it comes to attracting and keeping talent, and taking care of people so they enjoy working for you, the little expenses add up.
The SSA is great, and I'm not selling mine. If they aren't discontinued and even have a 10% increase, I'm sure many have the same question: Why would someone elect to buy an SSA when the G2S has the same feel & reliability at a lower price point? Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |
|
Someone can buy the SSA that has a proven combat record in the MK11 and has a US Navy safety cert. The G2S is made with the same casting molds as the old S2S but now the actual steel is S7 tool steel and the sears are wire edm'ed just like the SSA. So the main differences with the SSA are a different way of holding the hammer pin in, different pins, no laser marking and only spot MP check not 100% on the castings like the SSA. Visually, from the outside of the gun there is no difference and the feel and reliability is the same. $15 less than the current SSA price.

Any plans for 7" rails? I think I got lost in the page transition and trigger talk... I've got another SSA on backorder that I'm hoping the vendor honors the price on! Any plans for 7" rails? Thanks, -Randy |

I'm super stoked for the Mk4 rail. Did I miss reading what the ETA is on 13" in FDE?
Cheers |

Are the scar triggers "drop in" or will i need a smith to do it?
What will the trigger pull be with the new set up? Thanks |

Geissele triggers are worth it at any price point - I will support them at any price as my life is worth more than the trigger that determines life or death.

Now this makes a tough decision even harder. Don't know know if I want to wait for a Super TRICON or go ahead with SD-3G or SD-C......
|
|
Absolutely count me in for one of those lo-pro gas blocks. By the looks, it'll use one of the pins as well as 2 set screws? Thing looks rock solid.
|
|
The SGB can be mounted two ways. Conventionally with two set screws and/or with a stainless steel 3/16" dia coil pin. One the gas block is lined up and set screws tight a 3/16 drill is used to drill through the Pre spotted and partially drilled cross hole. Now it's bomb proof

Here's a question - do you expect the MK1 back in stock or the new MK4 rail to be available first?
|

Actually, we have some MK4s almost ready. When we get back from SHOT we will put them up on the website
|

hey i just ordered a MK1 10 inch from DSGarms... will it have the QD hole?
