Do you guys have an eta on the 249 Saker?

Not the WeaponOutfitters crew, but last I checked the answer was, "Soon."
With, "soon," being defined as an indeterminate location in time somewhere between, "now," and the heat death of the universe. Given BE Meyer's obsession with getting EVERYTHING right, it'll be well worth the wait. Doesn't make waiting suck any less though. I'm in the same boat you are waiting for one my friend. |
|
|
That's okay, I'm a couple parts away from completing the build, so no rush.

Since I'm literally a hop and a skip from BE Meyers, I bug their program manager and engineers about it daily
Right now, engineers at Silencerco and BE Meyers are going back and forth to try and produce an unmatched product... and I like to remind em it's March hahaha. Also, big news, we're the master distributor for BE Meyers products that are available to the commercial market. Before 2012, that was pretty much Bingo except for their IR illuminator. After 2012 they managed to get flash hiders released (through US!) and I'm hoping they have more commercial/civilian market products coming! |

I'd rather perfect and polished as opposed to piss poor any day of the week.
Nudge them to go ahead and drill a pilot hole for pinning & welding. The melonite coating and steel of the Trifecta RS make drilling it slow going process, and that may make smith's lives everywhere easier. |

Good news! Apparently it's in production now
Just a matter of time before we get em We're now the master distributors for these muzzle devices, so if your local dealer wants em, put us in touch! |

I have a feeling that the SECOND these are cleared hot for sale by BE Meyers, they'll be up on WO's website for sale, at a price that is as good as possible without giving them away. They've always taken GREAT care of me.
It's perhaps a CLUE that the folks who have partnered with them have. You don't get to get your hands on BE Meyers, Hodge, and unobtanium from other firms by being anything less than a good guy. |

Solid ETA came in: June 15th
I'm a bit a disappointed at how long it took, but better late than never, and I'm glad they're giving me a realistic time frame. What do you guys think: should I open up a pre-order item on the website now, or wait for a month? |

Month out is GTG for me. Gives you time to get all the pre-orders all lined up, ans us a solid time frame.
Just for the record I'm in for 3 of 'em. |

Word is on the street is that they are on schedule for being produced... but until they have passed the QC...
Apparently, the last engineering sample that sent was 10/10, perfect! Then, another pre production sample got sent and it was 0/10, completely messed up No one knows why that second sample got sent, or where it came from... These kinds of things happen when you have mechanical and production engineering teams from two companies working together on a project I'm praying that the production models will be 10/10 perfect, but if they aren't, they are going to be 100% scrapped and it's back to square one. We've got them on our website for pre-order but we are not going to promote it or make any promises on delivery time frame until I can be 100% certain. Means they gotta come back from meloniting and into the engineer's hands first! It's always better to be late and do it right, rather than to rush some crap to the market, and the folks behind this product believe that 100% |

With the AAC tines, the "ping" went away with just a little carbon build up. Lemme see if I can have one of the BEM folks lemme see their well worn prototypes and see if that's also the case Edit: It has the same channel that the original 249F has too to allow for a wire or O-ring to be added to kill the ping. Obviously, it would be consumable given the nature of abrasive muzzle blast |

As for the ping: add an o-ring or wire to the channels at the end of the muzzle device and it goes away. I'll check with prototype that's been shot a bunch and see if the ping goes away with carbon build up like the AAC 51T does |

Today I was working with an artist for an ad, and we used the final production prototype CAD files for a rendering.
I was like. Wait a second, this shit is off! The 249S is the same height as the 249F! Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, looks like the 249S might be long enough for the 13.7" barrel after all Until the final, final, production models are in my hands we just can't know for sure.
