I was looking for a small scope to put on my AK. Something for brush use, and that has a little magnification for 150yrd shots. I had the opportunity to try a Sight Mark 1-6x24 and give a short review. I was very interested in using the Sight Mark 1-6x24 scope to go on my AK.

When I received the scope the one thing I notice were the tall turrets. I could see them getting caught in the vines/brush when going through swampy Southeastern North Carolina woodlands. On a more positive note the illumination was fantastic. I have a USO and now a Tactical Weaver, neither come close to being as bright as the Sight Mark. You could see the reticule in daylight easily and it dimmed down well too. It didn’t dim as low as the USO, but it wasn’t too bright to use at dusk. Looking through the Sight Mark compared to the Weaver it had more of a tunnel effect. The glass did become a little grainy at the higher magnification.

I wanted an accurate test for the scope so I used my Marlin 17VS. This rifle is very accurate and the target was 50 yards away. I was able to very easily and quickly zero in the scope. The turret adjustments for the scope were pretty accurate. Then I zoomed out the magnification. I was shocked that the bullet rose almost TWO inches at 50 yards.

That was all I need to see to help me make my finial decision. Two inches at 50 yards would equal four inches at 100 yard. But if you are only using your rifle for 50 yard shots you should be fine. I have never owned a scope, nor will I, that have a POI shift from changing the magnification.

Thanks for doing the review on our scope. POI shouldn't change when changing magnification with our scopes and sounds like it was defective. If you would like, we can send out another one for you to review.

I don't doubt that you are a good shot, however you cannot fire 1 round before and after you zoomed in and claim the scope is inadequate. Shoot a tight group, and then blame the scope.

Make those windage and elevation knobs a little more low profile and you might have a winner

Exactly. OP, go back to the range. Fire 5 shots, adjust the magnification and fire 5 more.
