I just received and installed a couple of them, and have been taking a look at how they are functioning.
I have a small recommendation that the button that threads on the shaft of the release would be better if it were a little longer.
The reason for my opinion is that when pressing on the extended release the force is no longer in-line with the threaded shaft, and it counter levers causing the tab that holds the mag in the well to actually protrude further into the magwell first before it is pushed out of the slot in the magazine. Because of this I have had to loosen the catch another turn which means the button is only one turn away from not being in the receiver at rest.
On the underside of the extended piece that goes on the button there is extra material, and if I tighten it anymore the extra material contacts the receiver and stops the release from clearing the slot in the magazine.
I believe that a longer button will minimize the counter-lever by having more button in the receiver, and will also allow me to thread it on more without the material on the extended part getting stopped by the receiver.
Using the extended lever does not allow the release to move as much as pressing over the button does.
Just a thought.
Otherwise, I think it is a very great part idea, but I think it could be a little better. Please take no offense, I do not mean any. You guys make a lot of awesome stuff, and all of my rifles have a BAD selector.
If there is any way I could get a longer button I would appreciate it. I just bought 2 of them, and the same thing is happening with both of them.
Thanks!
