I own a troy alpha battlerail on my m4 style rifle. I received the rail as gift and shot through it for roughly three months and one day at the range I had a mounting screw vibrate loose which subsequently became lost. No big deal, or so I thought. I called the troy customer service number from their site a couple days in a row and got no response. So then I decided I would just order the screw and clamp/nut set from brownells or a similar supplier. Still wasn't very annoyed, just wanted my rifle back in action as quickly as possible. I searched and searched, but the hardware is not available on any site that I could find. Becoming annoyed,I began to try calling troy every so often and sending emails to their customer service department. This was five months ago. At this point I have sent an email voicing my needs probably a dozen times and called just as many if not more and still no response of any sort. During one phone call, i actually did have an operator answer my call and i asked to be connected to the customer service department. After spending 20 minutes on hold, I was reconnected to the same receptionist who proceeded to tell me that their customer service department was in a sales meeting and if i left my name and number, someone would surely return my phone call by the end of business that day. Nothing. No further response to any subsequent phone calls or emails since. I feel terrible bad mouthing a company that makes such an excellent product publicly like this, but the whole situation has become rediculous. Is this an isolated incident??? Before this, like others here at ar15.com, I had nothing but good to say about troys products.
