I think I have figured this ALL out! I am betting this is all just a PLOY to get the Chinese to stop making Knock off parts. I am sure that when that happens Ol' Steve is gonna come out with a statement explaining the whole thing...
Sad thing is it might work and even sadder is that says to me that the Chinese Knock Off Outfits have more integrity and business smarts than the folks at the WORLD of TROY!!!! I will remember!! ALL of our Troy stuff is on CLEARENCE and I still can't sell it- CANCELLED $13K in orders and Troy just don't care..... Hope the Gov contracts are worth the Shit Pond your swimming in now... I would have like to see one of Troys Neighbors at shot show with a sign up explaining who they hire and SUPPORT!!! For ALL of you who don't mind dealing with a company that feeds these JBT's I have great news, There is MORE Troy stuff in stock at the wholesalers than I have ever seen before! |
|
So we can safely conclude that there is a pattern with Mr Troy and where he stands politically. While he will remain quite a rich man his market share is going down the shitter fast. I'm going to replace my Troy branded products with Chinese knock offs.

I've replaced my parts with companies that support my values - not chinese. I sold the troy stuff CHEAP to recover some cash and dilute new sales.

Can't believe they've let this thread stay open.
A few friends have wanted rails and sights. I've pointed them to LaRue for rails and Knights for sights. |
|
The new Spikes BUIS are far superior anyway. They are adjustable for windage and elevation without tools on the rears and for elevation without tools on the front. They weigh less and fit up much better. I sold all my troys cheap.

A few big companies still do but I imagine it is do to contract obligations. Once there expired or fulfilled, any company with a sense of morals will move on or develop thier own.I personally will never buy a Troy product, even if it is re-branded.

So, let me get this straight...
Everyone here wants to say a big "fuck you" to Troy because they hired the spotter (not the actual shooter, but the spotter) of the guy that mistakenly shot a civilian... but... no one here bats an eye at Chris Kyle boasting about shooting 30 U.S. citizens (excuse me, "looters" if that makes you feel better about it - since when did petty theft become a capital punishment?) during Katrina and everyone should buy his book. I realize he's dead (RIP) and can't defend his actions, and he served his country well, but if his claim is true then he acted as judge, jury and executioner and purposely killed American citizens on our own soil. Explain to me how this is better. Flame suit on. |

Let's be honest, if he would say "Yeah, he totally botched that, I would have never taken that shot! I don't know what he was thinking." then we'd all be flaming him for not being loyal to his partner and say that he's just trying to save his own pathetic ass instead of owning up and standing behind his partner. |

Dale Monroe's resumè (see the entire thing at www.linkedin.com/pub/dale-monroe/4b/184/8a4) says this about his company:
Monroe & Monroe Inc is a consulting firm in the areas of workplace violence prevention, vulnerability and security assessments, firearms safety and instruction, and the all important "Home Offense Program", which provides homeowners the knowledge, skills, and positive attitude to prevent any intruder from making them victims in their own homes. "Your Safety is Our Business." It's too bad that Vicki Weaver didn't have training from Monroe & Monroe Inc. If she had, perhaps she could have prevented Lon Horiuchi and his right-hand-man, Dale Monroe, from making her a victim in her own home. How dare that murderous SOB put that line in the description of his business. |

I suppose I could have respected the other HRT sniper, if he had walked away from the illegal order to murder the Weavers.
He did not though, he sighted in right alongside Horiuchi, why? Because he wanted to keep his job. Whatever Troy has done, I'd think the least he could have done was toss a months salary for the position at the Weaver family with an apology for the company's conduct. But hey, I'm betting that by this point Troy is making a heck of a lot more money off of government contracts than off us little guys. So, ironically, Troy may as well be one of them, he takes their money as well, so that they may become better at their government assigned kill orders |

So does this mean BCM is persona non grata because their BCM branded battle sights are manufactured by Troy?
