Hey everyone,

I was looking at buying a mi free float but i have now sorta leaned toward the troy 13 battlerail.

I have a spikes lower and i just purchased a vltor mur upper. I want to run a low pro gas block and eventually run a suppressor.

My questions are: ( my first full build )

Do i need a barrel nut or does battlerail come with?

Will a suppressor tuck under the rail? Dont know which type yet.... I am gonna use 16 barrel though

Does any low pro block work?

Thanks guys,

Go easy on me i am pretty new to this

The Alpha rail does NOT come with a barrel nut but utilizes a standard ar15 barrel nut. The TRX rail series has been replaced by Alpha and is no longer available. (Basically same rail with better mounting system.)

All Troy Low Pro gas blocks work with the Alpha rail. If you are using another companies gas block it MUST be a Low Profile that does not use Side Clamp Screws. It needs to use the screws that set under the block. (Vltor makes one, Sadlack makes one, and some others?)

Will a suppressor fit into the rail? (Well hard to say without knowing which suppressor, The internal diameter of the rail is 1.34" , with a 16" barrel you should not need to have the suppressor go into the rail. A 15" may be an issue. Check the external diameter of your suppressor.)

Thanks!

Very cool, thank you for the reply. Sounds like i just need to get a barrel nut then. I intend to use a suppressor that goes back over the barrel if possible so it wond extend the barrel as much. I appreciate the help and i cant wait to get this going so i can post pics in the "show us your troys" section....

You only need the barrel nut (Not delta ring and spring), and lo-pro gas block if you plan on having the rail go over the gas block.
Good luck! Matt

Glad to hear you like it!

I got the older TRX Extreme on my ar15 and now one on my MEGA 308 (they don't have a 308 alpha....yet) and they have been perfect...lots of compliments on the range too.
