First off, there are a lot of good after market triggers out there. Most of these are a great addition to your AR if you are wanting to spend a few hundred dollars extra. Another down fall to these expensive triggers is that they no longer meet mil-spec. A simple way to make your mil-spec trigger a lot smoother and slightly lighter is to polish all of the surfaces that meet during a firing and reset of the trigger. Using a Dremel tool and some polishing compound (and a little patience) you can bring the ground surfaces of your trigger to a high polish. Once the ground surfaces are brought to a mirror finish, reassemble the weapon and you will notice a major difference in the trigger pull. NOTE: DO NOT GRIND OR SAND THE TRIGGER. This can cause severe damage that would require the trigger to be replaced. ~Josh M.
