First I'd like to thank Caroline Britton @ DD for the unheard of customer service she provided. I emailed inquiring about the price for a new set of screws for my Omega rail, and she sent me a pack of new screws (with extra screws!) and a velcro DD morale patch, free of charge. I did not ask for any of it and would have paid gladly for new screws, but she went ahead and helped me out. And the new screws are black and much nicer than the old bare aluminum ones. Thank you!
My question is:
How tight should the side screws that hold the rail together be? Should they be flush so that the rail section where they are located can still be used, or protrude slightly?
Currently they protrude ever so slightly but they are tight. I MIGHT be able to get one more turn, or a half turn but I fear stripping the bushings if I over do it.
Thanks!!
