Just bought my Daniel Defense a couple days ago. The charging handle is very tight and is somewhat difficult to rack.
What can I do to loosen it? I am not able to shoot it right now, so, breaking it in by firing it is not an option right away. I have been racking it repeatedly many times and it is still tight.

It racks fine but compared to other AR's I have shot, those slid out without any effort.
When I separate the upper from the lower, the bolt and charging handle slide easily.

Here are some rub marks.Again, the gun has never been fired, except for test firing at DD.

Oil your gun. Your charging handle will have wear marks, and will need oil. This is normal.

Is Ballistol ok to use or just use Break Free(CLP)?

I'm not sure about Ballistol. I have always used CLP only. The metal in a new gun is kind of porous, and will need a lot of oil at first. When your gun gets older the metal won't need as much. I would also recommend cleaning the gun prior to shooting it for the first time.

i use 50/50 mix of ATF and Mobil 1 Synthetic 5W30 oil, works great

oil the tabs and the top, the top part of the CH will wear the upper like in this pic, notice the finish wear in the center

I very gently hit the charging handle with 2000 grit sandpaper and mine's been smooth ever since.

Soak it with Slip 2000 EWL then shoot the shit out of it. It'll loosen up.

Ballistol is fine that is what i used before i got into slip 2000 for lube. Don't forget your rifle is still new just go shoot it or rack hard a few times when lubed up.
