So, I have been admiring a LAR-8 at my friendly dealer, and as it is a nice mid 70s day I bought it. I cleaned it and set it up with a nice scope off one of my 223s and had two boxes of Black River Match to play with. It zeroed easily and was producing REALLY nice groups when it failed to fire. To cut to the chase one of the BH rounds had blown it's primer and the rifle had loaded and fired the next round and had hung up on the blown primer when it tried to eject the new round. I see the blown primer case laying on the bench and suspect that the primer has jammed the BC up. I move to an area away from everyone and work the bolt carrier back and out of the upper. The chunk of primer falls out on the table and I take the bolt carrier apart and flush it out to make sure all the primer bits are gone and start to re lube and put it back together. This is where the bonehead segment begins as I ******* drop the bolt cam pin in what turns out to be a jungle. No amount of searching has turned it up as it has gone to that special place things like that go. We, in our group have many RRs, but alas they are AR15s. So, I have my cam pin on order with RR and hope for fast shipment. Regards
