Fantastic!! I have the Exact rifle ordered, I can't wait to get my hands on it. The handguard looks great. I'm planning to put a MAGPUL stock also. I'm initially putting a Super Sniper 10 X 40 on it.

But enough talk!! Range report Man, Range report Man!! How does that beasty shoot?! I'm planning to shoot specifically M118LR, M852, 175/168 equivilants and for dear my 165 grain Sierra BTHP.

Oh yea, as soon as the cash is available a AAC Cyclone 7.62 suppressor.

Let me be the first to say:

You suck!

Dang it, now I've got to go hassle my dealer who claimed he'd have one in any day now.

Hold on a little while longer, they're on hold waiting for bolt carrier groups from their suppliers

out of curiosity - i was having an issue on another thread with a different gun - but i think it may have to do with the feed ramp area - what does yours look like on the LAR-8 - i heard it's 1 big chute or ramp like the POF's. Is that true?

Cool. Is the DD rail a special LAR-8 rail or is it a standard AR15 rail?

Have you had a close look inside the bolt carrier? I have waited a year for my LAR8 and picked it up last week. Upon cleaning it I found that the bolt carrier bore has a really rough cut at the cam pin area. I know broken cuts can be a pain to machine but my Tactical Entry Rock River is smooth as can be. Just wondering is your carrier similar or smooth. Any thoughts that this should be replaced by Rock River also? trying to figure out how to attach photos from my harddrive. will update that asap. Thanks for any insight...

My LAR-8 is one big chute. Sorry for the late response!

That is a DD rail specifically for the LAR-8. Its the same rail as the Armalie AR-10 and the DPMS .308. Its just a different Barrel nut.

Im not sure. When it was stripped down and recoated Chris at KG Coatings didnt mention anything about it. He does a lot of AR's she hes familiar with them so I assume mine is alright. If i clean it and see it Ill let you know.

That's ok - i was just curious about how yours feeds? do the tips of you're bullets hit the ramp and feed? maybe the 2 separate ramps (extended) are not needed but they would greatly increase reliability once you start using different mags (some maybe a little towards out-of-spec than others).

let me know if you've had any feeding issues.

thanks
