I did verify. The e mail addy is listed at least 2x on their site, plus on all order confirmations. If you click the "LeadTimes" button you will see the addy and it is also in the "Locate dealer" section. I think they took it off the "contact us" area simply because they can service you better by calling rather than going through the totally swamped e mail approach. Like I said I've called and gotten through within a few attempts each time. I haven't seen the site down since mid January and I've checked every day. I saw the site maintenance banner yesterday but was still able to browse the website, and even the guy with the magazine issue says he was contacted by RRA and notified of the price change and given the option to bail. The 20% cancellation fee has always been negotiable depending on circumstance. I've noticed many other companies simply cancelled all orders they couldn't fill once the madness started. I for one was glad I was able to stay in line and get my product. In my book I think they are doing a pretty good job during this particularly insane time.

It was not my intent to bash RRA. When they say the "contact us" link is down I take that to mean you can't access the server for emails. I said nothing about browsing the website. As for the cancellation fee I wasn't aware of it until after I received the confirmation email and then it is too late to backout w/o the fee. When I purchased the BCG I was aware of the indefinite backorder. But I was not thinking that every BCG they get may go to their uppers which can be a year long wait putting my BCG out even further. I can't remember now if my CC was charged already or not until it ships. I'll have to look. If they did charge and it gets to be months to a year before they ship they should let you cancel with no fee. Enough said.

I agree. I would stay in line with the bcg. They don't charge until they ship. Just like lower parts kits not being in stock, they still let them go when they can. Things are getting better and as more carrier groups are available they will probably let them go out as well. Just my thinking.
Take care |

I called them today and got through on the 3rd attempt, was treated with the utmost courtesy, as always, and got some very good news which is surprising in this panicked market. I've dealt with them for years and will continue to deal with them despite the arfcomites that want to tear them down. Thank you steve for all you do here, and thank you RRA for a quality product and great customer service. Folks need to show a little patience and understanding these days. Hows that for a 1st post? "Also, you the consumer created this frenzied market not RRA or the other gun makers." NOT this consumer. My computer lost its HDD in mid-December so I have no way to get info on the 2 orders placed in early December. Got tired of busy siginals day after day. |

Hi
I own a Mid Length A4. It came with the Smith MB on it as well as the front site w/rail. I don't like the front site w/rail as I feel like I can see it thru my scope. I have the Leopould raised cantilever mount for the scope. Your web site further states the Smith MB can be used, as long as it is welded and pinned (I assume to make the 16" barrel length requirement). This makes me wonder if I can even remove the Smith MB without draconian efforts to get to the front site w/rail to replace it. What are your thoughts? E. |
|
|
You don't say what barrel elngth you have. The only reason it would be pinned and welded is if it was to bring a 14.5" barrel out to the legal 16", or if it is an AWB compliant model (that requires a threaded device be mounted permanently).
Regardless, if it is pinned and welded, it can be removed, but you may damage or destroy the device in the process... Steve/RRA. |

Just a thank you here, without starting a thread.
Building an A2 upper- RRA was the ONLY vendor that listed every part I needed- all in one place, at very reasonable cost. Quality of everything is first rate. Got here in reasonable time at no additional cost for shipping. I'll be back! Thanks! |

Hi Steve,
I have a RRA kit carbine. Fabulous. I am building another carbine and went looking for buttstocks. RRA has the A2 stock which might be what I want. Casting about, I found the Magpul Fixed Carbine Stock. It is simple and inexpensive. Checking the purchaser reviews in Brownells I found that the Magpul FCS is 3/4 inch shorter than the A2. Quite a few guys found this too short and the spacers are a nuisance to buy extra. Couldn't RRA make a fixed carbine stock the same length of pull as A2? I think you would have a good seller if you kept it simple and inexpensive. Thanks for monitoring this discussion area. |

I'm sure we could, but we sell a fixed carbine stock now....or I should properly say we offer one now, and there isn't much demand for it. Granted, it's the same length as our regular collapsible stock fully extended, which is 3/4" LONGER than A2. An A1 stock is 5/8" shorter than an A2. Our collapsible stock mirrors both lengths, as the first location in from maximum is A2 length, and the second position in from fully extended is A1 length, so a non-collapsible stock could theoretically be built from either, although it may not meet the desired end, or necessarily be legal in every jurisdiction.

Thanks... I blew right past the operator A2 stock because of its price and complexity. The Operator A2 stock is $130 - $140. The Magpul is $29.95 at Midway, only ten dollars more than just the Quick detachable sling swivel at RRA. No wonder demand is low for the Operator A2 fixed stock. I still think there is an unanswered market for a SIMPLE inexpensive fixed A2 length stock. You guys know what kind of price point design preference will sell best for you. Thanks for great products and the chance to toss it around.
My RRA kit carbine is 2.5 years old. Very reliable. |

The Operator A2 (AR0074NK) sells decently...the non-collapsible Tactical CAR (AR0260) is the one that has little demand. Our stock kits also include the receiver extension, spring, buffer, and necessary mounting hardware. Steve/RRA |

Is there a spot on the site that states what items the 18% discount actually applies to? I placed an order for a .458 Muzzlebrake thinking it would get the discount, but didn't get it. The only part I saw was where it says that it does not apply to items already on sale, and this was not on sale.
Thanks |

Did not want to start a thread, but I ordered an upper on Black Friday, called about shipping and was told it was started building on 12/7 and would be two to four weeks for completion. Checked today and was told it was just being built and would be two to four weeks. I really wanted this for xmas. When will it really be done? Thank you.

Without knowing who you are or anything other than what information you provided, I don't know.
If you would like to IM or e-mail me with any/all pertinent information, I can try to track it down for you. Thanks. Steve/RRA |

1st I want to say that I love my RRA's. I have one Entry Tactical with the Operator stock, winter trigger guard and Hogue grip.
My pride and joy is a 6.8 with the original mid length half quad, winter trigger guard, 2 stage trigger, RRA Operator stock, Smith Vortex flash suppressor, Harris bipod, A.R.M.S low profile flip up rear sight, RRA. front flip sight gas block, Hogue grip, Trijicon Acog TA31RCO-M150CP with A.R.M.S. throw mount and Surefire mini Scout weapon light. I'm working on my 3rd RRA right now. Keep up the good work, I never had any problems with my RRA's rifles. Attached File |

Ebbs and flows.
I pop in almost every day, but don't post much except in response to questions or comments. My primary function has evolved over the years, as has our status on the site. I spend my entire day, pretty much every day, on LE/Government and, more and more, international sales. I still do some of the new product development and take the occasional tech call, but my day-to-day involvement with either is limited. As I have posted less about new product, less about new/changing tech, changes we are making, etc..this forum has slowed down. After we lost our banner ad, the forum slowed down. As other events occurred, the forum slowed down. When we release new product (normally seen at shows and in articles first), traffic picks up for awhile, then goes back to where it was prior to the spike generate dby the releases. Site hits on the RRA site have been fairly constant. So far for this year, the BT-9 9mm billet rifles and pistols that take Glock mags are shipping, the .22LR LAR-22s are starting to ship in small quantities, the semi-automatic BT-6 in 338 Lapua Magnum is going to ship shortly, and new bolt action rifles in .308 and 6.5 Creedmore are looking good for a summer intro in time for fall hunting seasons. we have other projects, both old and new, that are in motion as well, and we'll make some announcements when they are ready, too. Thanks. Steve/RRA |
