On the site, they're listed as aluminum and polymer construction. What parts are polymer? Looking at mounting a set of backups on a piston gun with the front sight on the rail height gas block, and I'm concerned about overheating a polymer sight base.
Thanks. |

Hi TheOTHERmaninblack,
The FFS and FRS have a polymer housing with machined aluminum components. The FFS "Front Filp-up Sight" has an aluminum sight post and internals as well as an aluminum rail mount clamp. The FRS "Filip-up Rear Sight" polymer housing with machined aluminum components also with an aluminum rail mount clamp. As for the melting of the polymer we have never had that as a complaint. We believe that the aluminum rail clamp acts as a heat sync preventing the polymer from melting. Either way we do provide an unconditional life time warranty on all our products. |
