Hey Guys, do you have a tech branch letter for your mag grip? I know the Mako magwell grip is legal for a pistol, but I haven't heard anything about the CAA mag grip and pistol legality. Thanks!

Hello, unfortunately we do not have any information from BATF on the legality of our MGrip on a handgun. The MGrip is designed for rifle use and not pistols, the grip attachment that is designed to facilitate the gripping of a pistol with more than one hand makes it an AOW (any other weapon). A pistol is intended to be fired with one hand (it is perfectly legal to fire it with two hands) but its design must be to have a grip for one hand.

There is a letter here somewhere from the ATF saying they're OK. AFGs ar GTG as well.

Either way, just get the stamp.
As above, so below.

not true

To add the our earlier response a (AOW) is regulated under NFA rules therefore a form1 needs to be filled out and the tax must be paid. You must be in possession receipt with the tax stamp to add an additional grip to a pistol.

Have you considered changing the name to "Mag Funnel" and getting a tech branch letter like Mako did? I'd really like to be able to run your magwell grip rather than Mako's magwell grip on my pistols.

we dont but it's really not a bad idea. Our MGRIP would look and work well on a pistol.. We will look in to it for sure... Thanks SacStock!

The letter applies only the the patented MWG. The guy I spoke with from the ATFE was vewry clear that it did not apply to any other magwell grip.
