I had what I consider to be a bitter-sweet customer service experience a ways back regarding my unhappiness with Alumahyde II Coyote.
I have done many FDE paint jobs with this stuff and bought many different cans over the years. Each can had always matched both the magpul FDE and the previous pain jobs nearly perfectly until my last order. I was a happy camper and always pointed people in your direction for their own spray jobs.
However, my most recent purchase It came out looking weird and grey like in the picture below.
When I noticed the problem, I contacted your customer service and was treated VERY well. I received an apology for the mismatch as well as a new can of coyote alumahyde for my troubles. I was pleased with this arrangement, and when I got the new replacement can I went outside to ensure that this batch was the proper color. It was the same off-grey look as the last cans. I felt weird asking for further help and just wrote brownelles off for further jobs. I didn't want to look like a complainer, so I decided I would silently find a better replacement.
Yesterday I found a need to touch up some an old paint job I had done, and decided to check your site one more time.
Apparently you now have a color called magpul FDE, and I have to guess that it's just a renamed version of the old coyote. That's not a problem, but it sure would have been nice to know you changed the colors so I could have ordered the right stuff in the first place.
Anyway, I am only posting so that you all know that there might be people who are similarly confused, and perhaps save some of your customer service reps some time. I will be ordering a couple of cans of the new stuff and carrying on.
Thank you
