People have every right to be upset at the incompetence that Brownells displayed during this whole mess.
Brownells accepted backorders on an item that they were unable to fulfill in a timely manner. During this time period ammo prices skyrocketed. People could have and most likely would have ordered elsewhere, but they expected Brownells to fulfill the order. In the mean time, prices continued to rise.
When I questioned Brownells about my backorder, I kept getting a canned response. It became obvious over time that the sales rep never even looked at my actual order. I only got some action when I found the direct email for a manager. Even then I was lied to again. I was told that I was first in line. When I found that they had been substituting IMI for over a month, how they treat their customers became very clear. I agreed to the IMI substitution. I called back THREE WEEKS LATER - oops, we screwed up again, it'll ship today.
I wasn't going to post this publicly, but screw it...
