Two weeks ago, I took advantage of the July 4th specials on the Vortex Strike Eagle and the PEPR QD mount along with some miscellaneous stuff. I paid for UPS ground shipping to an address on my account instead of USPS since it gets delivered to a PO Box and I wanted to get it in time for the weekend.
That day, it ships overnight air, arriving at an address somewhere in TX the next day that I have no knowledge of and is signed for by a name I don't know. I talk to Dani in customer service and it was some kind of mixup on the part of UPS. She looks into it and at first says it's a simple fix. After a couple of days she comes back saying it will have to be a reship.
After the 4th, I hear that the Strike Eagle is out of stock with no ETA, so would I want to wait for backorder. I said no, full refund please because the mount is kinda useless without the scope and the rest of the parts aren't worth a full order. At that point, she asked for day to look into getting the package from where it was delivered. A day later, no go, so I could expect a full refund.
That was last week. I am confident I'll get my refund (hopefully soon), but that was the damn wierdest Internet order gone wrong that I've ever had. Primary is one of my go to joints for ordering parts. Can somebody tell me what actually happened here so I can happily continue ordering stuff the next time a sale comes up?
