Hmm. I'd love to "Check out Primary Arms Halloween Savings Event now thru 11/2!" as it is displayed in orange on the home page.. how do I do that? The banner doesn't respond to clicks, I resubscribed to the emails, checked the FB page, and unless I'm missing some glaringly obvious button (wouldn't be the first time ), there's nothing else anywhere on the home page... View Quote The sale has not officially started. It will be fully populated shortly. You can click on the SALE category to get there |

I am not a fan of the new site. That said, my love for PA means I will continue buying there anyway
love the company, not a big fan of the new website.
looks very.........box-stock. a lot like one of those "DIY" sites made by mom. don't get me wrong-----I will still shop there ;) |
The mobile site sucks. No other way to put it. It would be very helpful if you added a "View Desktop Site" option at the bottom.
Another thing I noticed that I definitely like is, the "view all" option on items shown per page.
Makes shopping easier for me. Scrolling through a sale, or category easier than waiting for multiple pages to load. |
Just saw the halloween sale and you separated it into categories. Looks good!

Is there any way that the sale specifics can be listed without having to add the items to your cart then insert the "HALLOWEEN" code just to see what the discounted price is? I am assuming that a group of products all have a certain percentage discounted (such as the Harris bipods). But I can't find anywhere on the site that specifies the conditions of the sale. On the old site, the sale conditions were clearly stated at the top of the page. For instance, it might say "10% off all Harris Bipods". Then... even if the sale price wasn't stated on every individual item... you could just simply do the math.
Better yet... how about you just revert to the old website? FYI, I am viewing the site on a mobile device and there is no option to view a desktop version. I do not know if the desktop version is different. |

We are working on the desktop option and improvements to mobile. Both are top priorities I never really doubted that you, one of the greatest online retailers, wouldn't fix things. I, and I am sure many others, appreciate this last statement from you more than you could ever know. I have always stated that you have the best customer service known. FYI... here is a little about myself. I am a amateur armorer. I am 'that guy' that everyone from work, friends, and friends of friends and co-workers go to for firearm advice and minor work. I don't do anything (much) for profit. So I use your website to help them decide what they want and need. Then they order from you. When the items they ordered arrives, I install the items or help them install the items. This is why I was so disappointed in the website change. For me... the old site worked beautifully and easily. Again... I appreciate the fact that you take our opinions seriously; even when they are criticisms. |
To those that don't like the website, give it some time, change isn't for everyone. The people behind the new website are the same great people and same great service that you've learned to love, that's all that matters really.

One thing I've noticed is that most items I've viewed have the option to add to my wishlist, but some don't (some bipods and scopes). It's a minor detail, but I really like the wishlist option since it helps me keep track of build parts in a convenient location.
ETA: The old site had a link to our wishlist. As it is now, we have to add something to the wishlist to see it. |

I like the new website.
Did you guys strike a deal with fedex recently? Express and 2 day shipping seemed very reasonable. I seriously hate USPS and it was worth paying 2 bucks more over priority. |

One thing I liked about the old website was it showed pictures of the optic reticles. I'm not gunna jump innthe hate train but I hope you'll add this.
Looks good but seems to be a little kludgy. Not that I care as long as the shipping department is still staffed by wizards. Took me two tries to get my order in but I can't complain much since I got in on the Radical upper deal.

I placed an order this past Friday to take advantage of the sale on the Fortis REVII MLOK rail and the sale doesn't show up in my previous orders. I got shipping confirmation yesterday so I know its on its way.
The mobile version was hard to use......but you already know that. |

Website will take a little getting used to.
One thing I don't like is tracking info is only provided if you purchase under an account? Make a purchase without logging in and you don't get tracking, just an email saying your order has been fulfilled. |
Here is a real problem with the website: after you log out, if you enter checkout again it still has your shipping and billing info even though you signed out. That info should not be kept in a cookie and should not be saved after logging out.
Ok, after placing my last order I figured out a question.
How can I obtain the tracking info for my order? I received the shipping notice and I've tracked it on the site, but it just opens up basic package info. No tracking number to enter into USPS or anything. |
Got email from info@pa
When I read it on my iphone, it is just a bunch of "code jibberish". When I read it on my PC, I see what it says. As to the email it self, It was a unnecessary, "come back and finish your purchase" email simply because I had items in my cart... I see this as spam, and a turnoff. |
I'm warming up to it. My first purchase on the new site was meh, but yesterday I ordered a BCG and charging handle and it took a lot less time to find the products I wanted because of the drop down schematic.
Is e-mailing you guys the only way to obtain a tracking number now?
I don't like the landing page at all. In the past I would just onto the site from time to time to see if there were any good deals featured. The current setup doesn't give me that same info. I know there are a handful of items there, but it doesn't feel like a "deals" page like it has in the past. Additionally, I have a bigger problem with the mobile site for much of the same reason, except there is no real landing page at all. Just a list of categories. I can't even request to view the desktop version to change it.
Overall, the function of the new site is nice. But for me, this current setup will lead to me only going to the site when I am looking for something specific. Which will ultimately result in me buying less. |

The only thing I know that I FOR SURE received was from you guys and had the web order number, but nothing else. I want to say that arrived on Wednesday morning of last week? Looks like either way the package was delayed or something as normally priority mail shipments from you guys are here in 2 days. Hopefully it'll arrive today. |

Here is the relevant section of the email response I got from Mike D. at PA when I asked about a tracking number last week:
"If you place an order without signing in to your account then it will not send you a tracking number." |

I just took advantage of the Veteran's Day sale (thank you on all accounts )
I don't think the new website is as good as the old one, but I also think it's just a matter of getting used to it. One thing that I would like to see (but my wife wouldn't) is being able to store payment information. I know it's a 1st world problem, but finding my wallet for the c/c information is a pain Also, I can't wait for the old orders to be imported (iirc). I miss that feature. Finally, when you guys get a chance, you might want to check out the turret caps on the PA416X IM me if you want more details. |

I dont like the new site on my phone. It was much easier to find things. It would be nice to have a desktop version available.

Low-to-high price listing does not work for me, its just random.

I definitely logged in when I made my order. Oddly enough it's not showing up under my history though. That part is still completely blank. As I said, I had received an e-mail, there was just nothing in it besides the order number. Eta: I was able to locate a tracking number through the USPS since I receive texts when things are heading my way. The package is just... Totally jacked up, haha. Mind you I live in Washington, about 30-40 minutes from Federal Way. Part of the order is a gift for a friend who's moving for a job. Looks like I'll have to make other arrangements until this arrives since he's leaving this weekend. Stupid USPS... I know this part isn't the sites fault, outside of the no tracking number. Sorry if I'm cluttering up the thread! http://www.mywrx.net/PAtrack.jpg View Quote USPS sucks and it sure won't get any better between now and Christmas. We leave it as a option becasue some customers prefer it but I strongly recommend FEdex and UPS |
I have never had an issue with USPS Priority...UPS is always my last choice as its usually slow and expensive compared to FedEX and USPS.
For larger and/or more expensive items, FedEX is the way to go for sure. |

I implore you to please revert back to the old website format. I just tried to browse the Black Friday sale. Scrolling through 37 pages (compared to around 5 pages on the old site) of unsorted items wasn't desirable. I love your company more than any other that I order from. But at some point, you have got to realize that the new format was a step back. I am sorry if my opinion is unpopular and this isn't a criticism of the Primary Arms company.
I hate that pile on, love you guys as a company and your products. The new site on my phone is damn awful. You have to scroll around through unsorted items to find what you want which may cost sales. It took me a while to find items I know you have, but may miss other ones for difficulty in finding them. The old site was perfect and so much easier.
Anyway rant over. I'll still go to PA for my optics and other needs! |
