Hi dimitri, I know you said the 5.56 loads would not match up well but I am trying to figure out if I should "pull the trigger" on this thing when it comes in stock. I will be shooting mostly 5.56 ss109 62gr(cheapest around 10$ for 30 rounds) out of an 18" wylde chamber at around 3000fps. Would the reticle be rendered useless since im not shooting .308 or the .223 you posted in the chart? I'm still trying to figure out if I should get the 4-14xacss or the mil dot or even jumping down to the 1-6 acss. Basically I'm sold on the 14xFFP acss except for how I'm unsure about the reticle being compatable with various 5.56/.223 loads. Sorry if this all sounds ridiculous. I'm kinda flustered because I finally found what seemed to be the perfect scope (FFP, sweet lookin reticle, GREAT price, and magnification range) and it kills me to think it may not work all that well on my rifle. View Quote You can use 5.56 you just will need to dial down 1" for M193 and 1.5" at 100 yards for m855. We just tell people that it does not line up because most don't want to dial down at 100. If you shoot some 75grHNDY your going to be on to the end. Also if you plan on room clearing and CQB type work as well as Mid range then look at the 1-6, the 4-14 is better at precision. |

Just ordered mine. Will be going on either a large frame .308 AR build that I recently finished or a Rem 700 Tac, in a MDT chassis. Looking forward to seeing how well the scope will perform.

Received my scope today...Looked awesome until I tried adjusting the zoom. Could hardly move the magnification ring, loosened the screw a bit on it and it moved more freely but still was rough. Called a few minutes ago and a new one is on it's way with a box to send the old one back. Hoping the next one is better!

Ok, so I'm looking at this optic and I shoot 77gn smk at 2900fps. I see the data posted but don't understand how to correlate the numbers with how the holdover will work, or the zero. Can you tell me like I'm a third grade?
Thanks |

Marsh/Dimitri,
Question on product registration or warranty service. I received the "back in stock" email alert from AR500 and had ordered from them by time the PA e-mail alert came in about 2 hours later. Should I register the product on your site or thru them? If any issues should arise, seek warranty service from them or directly thru PA? Thanks in advance. |

Bad ass, wicked optic!
This is one of those optics, for the price, can not be beat. Fit, finish, functionality, it's all there. The ACSS has been well thought out and flat works. PA has done a great job, bringing it (and many others) to market. Now, if the weather gods would let up on the NW, so we can actually go outside without drowning or freezing. Might be able to get a range day in. |

Any first hand experience with this scope on a 6.5 Grendel? Hoping it would work.

In the Precision Rifles section, someone posted
or say im shooting a 6.5 grendel, using a 123 sierra match king, shooting at around 2,650 fps (muzzle) with a BC of .510 View Quote and Dimitri replied Also not sure if you know this but the ACSS HUD DMR has mils going down so you can match up all these loads. From what you provided 6.5 is spot on out to 1000. View Quote So depending on what you shoot, you're good. |

PA,
Was wondering if you can help me out. I'm looking into getting this scope or the 4-14x Mil Dot FFP version and i'm trying to figure out if the BDC would be of any value to me. This will be both for my AR10 and AR15. Both have a 16" barrel so the FPS is much lower than what you have on the spec sheet. Is the BDC calibrated for a higher FPS and would it line up for me using the same loads but with a shorter barrel? Thanks! |
