What's the used market like for these things? I aboslutely love my Gen 2, but I have found that since I have a Vortex Viper PST 1-4x as well, that the 1-6 isn't seeing as much use. I love the BDC, amazing at long range, but I just don't have a rifle to fit the scope any more. Blasphemy I know. But I won't build another rifle just for it. Though I could put it on a 308 AR I suppose?

Just did a carbine class where we did mostly close up work, some night time work, and some 100-200 yard work.
Dry dusty gravelly range. Scope worked awesome. Was soooo easy to use and get quick hits with. Others seemed pretty interested. Were talking about old eyes and difficulty of seeing targets (using their red dots). I felt like I was cheating with the scope. Just wanted to say, nice product and reticle. |

I can take the magnifier off when not in use. Opinions? |

I have no experience w/ magnifiers but i cant imagine they are as good as a scope. I like the idea of being able to take it off though. Im seriously debating an eotech for my 5.56.... Either way i think u win, the eotech setup would be lighter... |

clear something up for me. Is this latest batch of scopes the 2nd generation of the 1-6 ACSS scope (new design, glass?) or is the 1-6 ACSS scope the second generation PA 1-6 scope?
I bought a 1-6 ACSS when they first came out earlier this year. Is there already a 2nd generation? |

I shot mine at a local carbine match last Sunday. Scope preformed fantastic! me on the other had ..... We were shooting steel at 200yd and I had a brain fart and decided to use the 400yd has mark to try and hit. After the first 10 rounds or so the RO was nice enough to call out high. Knew something was up so I dropped it down to the center dot and went 17 out of 20 some shots. I could of easily had a better run but screwed that up from the start. They had another stage shooting through holes in a small tower name sumfer tower through randomly located holes. On 1x i was quick on target and was able to put two hits back to back very quickly. The only thing that made it harder for me was finding my eye relief when shooting in odd potions.
All and all I am very happy I was able to land one of these. Can wait to get more rounds through it. I meant to get a picture of it at the range but forgot with all the shooting going on :), Next time out out I will get a pic for the thread |

I estimated muzzle velocity as well. I'm willing to bet if I got a chronograph and found the exact muzzle velocity it would be dead on. Ballistic Coefficient (BC) doesn't change no matter the velocity. I know the BC is correct because that is set by the manufacturer of the bullet.
