I am super excited that my Burris MTAC, Primary arms extend mount and butler creeks arrived.

Now for the but...I am bummed cause it will not fit on my M4 with the KAC RAS II upper. The mount does not get high enough to clear the attachment point on the upper to forearm mount with that rail system.

Anybody have any ideas?

That is a odd setup. Is the mount hitting? Would tall rings work? Post a pic might help us come up with a solution.

Here is a picture of the RAS II. (Not my picture but illustrates the problem) My aimpoint cantilever looks like it was made for the system. (Note that is not my Trijicon):

Here is a view of it without an optic on it:

As you can see the attachment area is pretty tall. I have plenty of rail space left between the BUIS and the attachment.

Sorry to hear. That's one of the reasons that rail never took off.

You'll likely have to get a riser that fits behind it. I'm not sure any offset scope mount is going to work with that rail.

t would help to have a pic of your setup showing where the scope or mount is hitting.

Here are some pictures of the issue. The first one is of the Aimpoint, the second is the issue I am having with mount. it is not mounted because I can't get it attached.

Have you considered small risers? Perhaps a pair of YHM mini risers...

With a lower rear flip two of our AR height rings would work. The scope will be a little further to the rear than ideal. The riser rail would work but not going to get a very good cheek weld.

Thanks Marshall. I may give that a try. You think I can get two mounts on the space I have left?

Got to thinking if maybe a low mount on the forward piece and a standard mount on the rear would work? The forward piece is bolted on so it is rock solid...hmmm

Two rings should fit close together. I thought about two different height rings but they would have to line up perfectly. It would be tough to find just the right height.

Is the rest of the handguard not the same height as the receiver rail? I know it's not ideal, but I would just put a ring on the handguard and a ring on the receiver.

Hmm now that could work. I think the rail would be stable enough. It is bolted pretty tight to the upper. I guess the high rings would put it high enough to go over the "hump"

Got some rings and tried them. Didn't work...the forearm is a bit higher and to the right.

I will cut you a deal on a new quad rail.

Thanks Marshall...that is a hell of an offer. I was after the Omega rail...you were out of stock, so a buddy hooked me up. You guys (PA) are top notch people and I always give you first look.

Why not use a small riser(s) like what was suggested earlier?

Using risers would take it a little high for me.
