My PA Ult Weapon light is currently mounted on a 16in 450 Bushmaster upper and has held up great to around 50rds so far. Not much but the 450B packs a kick. Quality is excellent and the thing lights up hogs at night like halogen head lights.

Surefire Z49 and Z59 click switches fit. The included tape switch is moentary on. Marshall Ordered. This puts it over the top for me. I am just starting to cycle up my night shooting. I will post up some comparisons at 100-300 for target id. I have been looking for a thrower. This combined with a large mount may be it. So, can you explains the warranty further? What if I love it but it breaks or quits after a year? |
|
Moutned my light when I got home lastnight. Waited for it to get good and dark out then I hopped outside to see if the light was as good as I was hoping it was. All I can say is WOW! What a great light. Even my wife was impressed and she doesn't get impressed that easily. She even asked me to get her one for around the house. Great great light and at that price it is a no brainer!

|
I like how far back the mount is. Gives the user alot more freedom with regards to hand / grip positioning.

Marshall,
High five you Primary Arms for this light. What a value! I'll need to get some pics to prove it - but this light illuminates a 150 yard field behind my house. The beam is also focused enough so there's not a lot of splash onto the treeline when you're in the thick stuff. With the Surefire diffuser it spreads that lightsaber into a usable light for indoors. Excellent combo, excellent price. Looking at the construction of it - it's more than capable for any environment I'd ever put it through. It's very lightweight too - that surprised me. Thanks! |

I mounted my UWL on right side of a carbine equipped with Magpul MOE handguards and the add-on polymer side rails. I banded the pressure switch to the right side of the Magpul vertical forward grip. This is much like the setup PA shows in their MOE package deal for this light.
Problem is that the knurled mounting screws for the light fall right under my fingers and they have some sharp edges on them. Looking for some rubber tubing to put over or plastic caps of some kind, or replace with something. Anyone know what the threads on the mount screws are? Anyone else run into this? |
|
You might have to look back farther into this thread, but if you don't mind spending some more money, Marshall gave
the part numbers to Larue and ADM throw-lever mounts that will work with this light. Look back in this thread, they are listed somewhere. ARKAR |
|
Covered the knurled mounting nuts with some rubber tubing. Tan color doesn't look so good with OD furniture but hey it works!

About the light
1) Does it accept other 1" crenelated head caps? 2) Any one done any stress/damage tests to it? |

About the light 1) Does it accept other 1" crenelated head caps? 2) Any one done any stress/damage tests to it? It takes any Surefire 1.62: accessories. We have been selling this about a year. Other that some initial tape switch issue that have been resolved it has been solid. How much stress? It is not built with the fully battery captured and sealed head technology if a Surefire Scout. That is my HD recommendation. Marshall |

Its what I'm looking for. I saw some of the other discussions about it and I liked what I read. I'll be placing an order soon enough. My second product from PA in two months... think I'm an addict

If you all decided to build something like this that had a twist bezel that would switch to an IR led with similar throw you would sell them like hotcakes....

Will this light mount on this: http://www.midwestindustriesinc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&category_id=94 The 04 model...

Thumb inline with barrel and on top of the hand guard, hand wrapped around the hand guard, vertical grip used mostly as a hand stop to press back rifle into shoulder. I took care of the sharp edges with a file and reblackened the finish. My setup is pictured two posts up. MOE handguard and vertical grip. |

Yo, Marsh1, I noticed that the UWL is out-of-stock. When will there be more?

You need to order at least a slot rail. We are out of the lights right now. I will have a ETA later this week. Thanks Marshall |

I couldn't get the tape switch to work with the MOE kit. The tape switch is to fat and the MOE piece doesn't fully snap in over it. I ended up using some hobby grade double sided tape, if you do it right it's a very secure mounting option. You can kinda see it in this pic. http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j374/Furadi/zzzsidebyside.jpg nice!!! |

If you get the same kind of tape that people use in RC race cars you'll never have to worry about it coming off. That stuff is made to withstand heat and extreme abuse. |

Many moons ago someone asked this but I havent been able to locate where or if it was answered. Will the head fir a M951 Surefire? I would live to be able to replace the incandescent head with a led like this.

Purchased a red dot/ 5x mag and a light for my rifle. Have yet to do range report, but am really happy about my purchase. The light turned out to
be much better than I anticipated. However, I am looking to order another light for my shotgun. I have a plane 870 that I picked up and really want to mount a PA ultimate light on the 870. Has anyone mounted their PA light to an 870, and if so whats the best method? Thank you. |

Marshall-
I checked the site today and it looks like the UWL is back in stock. I place my oder for the Magpul bundle a short while ago. Can't wait to get it!! |
|
Just ordered 2 of these lights. I can't wait to take them for a little night time hog/coyote hunt.

Will these mount to a Gear Sector scout mount?
Link |
|
No these have the larger base like the Millennium Series. Gear Sector does not make one for it. |
|
Anyone running this on a Carbine length rail? I had a Surefire M951 that took up a ton of rail space and had little to no room for my hand. The base seems to be set more to the rear than the Surefire I had. Any help/pics would be awesome.

Hi Marshall, This looks great, and I look forward to purchasing one soon. Out of curiosity, do you have any plans to make a pistol-sized version of this?

EDIT: Are looking the thread back over there are pics of what look like a carbine on the first page lol. I dunno how I missed that lol I also would like to see if anyone with a carbine length rail has any pics. I am the scared of the same thing getting it and taking the whole side of the gun. Thanks for anyone that has pics |

I was wondering if anyone has tried to shorten the cable at all? 10" is kind of long for a carbine. ordering this light as we speak lol
